My issue with X Is that it's a globalist funded propaganda weapon that is used to censor patriots of the world who have been exposing their involvement and compliance in human & child trafficking amoung many other criminal activities.
No one should be giving them 1 cent.
Charging outrageous subscription prices is a easy and legal way to launder money which go towards the human trafficking. Many corporations have been using this tactic.
Corporations have stolen trillions from us and destroyed our local communities and that is one big reason people won't pay for any subscription either because they don't want to support these corrupt corporations or they don't have any money as we are all barely surviving.

Bitcoiners are against paid subscriptions or paying for things probably because we are aware of the trillions stolen from us through the banking system. The good news is Bitcoin will be used to bring down all these systems in place that have robbed us. I don't blame people who don't purchase subscriptions. I will continue to leech off and never twitter a dime or any dime to any corporation.
I'm only there to expose the truth and educate people on the corruption and guide them towards Bitcoin and Nostr.

As for independent developers. I do donate and purchase their products because Bitcoin allows me to pay them directly and even skip the payment processors who are also complict in human trafficking.

I only have disdain for corrupt Corporations and not independent developers or small non-corporation businesses.

Nostr is solving the issue of skipping the middle man and donating directly to the content creator.
I believe in the future Nostr will think of a way that we can also donate to the relays and app clients.

We must continue to expose X any every corporation out there as they are the problem in this world and Bitcoin will expose & bankrupt them all until the we the people take back our power.

Just because something is too expensive for you doesn't mean it is a rip off. A new business or small business isn't entitled simply because it is new or small. Those things aren't virtues on their own.

I also take issue with the claim that #Nostr is free. It may be free for you to use, but that doesn't mean that someone isn't bearing the cost of it. Relays use energy and require hardware and maintenance. Developers put time into building either at their own expense or those of us who make purchases, donate, etc.

I do think Nostr is better, but there's a subtle (increasingly less subtle) distaste for anyone who dares to charge for things growing in the #Bitcoin and Nostr space from what I have been seeing.

There is usually a veiled moral superiority attached to things that are free of cost, as if those things have no cost in reality.

If you're using Nostr, clients, etc free of charge then someone else is paying your way for you. That's just the reality.

I get that not everyone is financially able to pay (if true, maybe you have bigger concerns than social media and should spend that time elsewhere, but that's a separate topic and really depends on the person and context).

It's the smug moral superiority and disdain for those who dare charge for their effort that bothers me.

X isn't free to operate and the businesses on the platform probably aren't giving their effort away for free either. Small or new businesses don't have to buy those extra services. The market will set that price.

I don't see virtue in encouraging people to be leeches and shaming those who charge for what they're offering. Nostr has many worthy virtues and advantages over X without shaming the profit motive.
