It is clear to me that today’s event in PA will be used to frame people who criticize or protest Trump (especially if elected) as potentially dangerous, radical, and therefore punishable. & the right/left gap will widen with a deepening belief on both ends that it’s the other side that’s responsible for fascism and politically motivated violence.
My hot-take doesn’t really matter that much. But, what matters, is that we deepen our ways of looking out for each other’s safety and sense of future with these things in mind. If you have tools, articles, historical moments to point to, and/or strategies on that you want to share below - I’d be curious to read them.
