yeah, the long range vision of my current employer is to build a replacement for slack that is easy to deploy (to offer as a managed hosted service) and interoperates easily with other clients (ultimately)
properly respecting authentication and the right to read private messages is a big sticking point that nobody in the main stream of nostr dev currently cares enough about, and it's why i keep shouting about it, unbelievable how resistant these "fast hackers" are to actually respecting user privacy
