For a $30 device, (and I would argue even $80) there's really no reason for even a listener to not have their own wallet other than it's 'too complicated'. Which it's not, it just means their too lazy or too stupid to figure it out. It really was quite simple. Building a Wordpress website was considerably more confusing than creating a brand new wallet.
