Lou on Nostr: Still relevant nostr:note15yq69fzf8rdmpfs3hsqt6lk5edzddqh75nq5vx9az9y9vlxklnpssllv7x

Still relevant
It is important to remember that a community of like-minded people serves as a way to achieve more than just positive feedback loops. Everybody has it’s own expertise in something outside Bitcoin/Nostr, that is why I encourage people to publish more of what they love; in doing so we can connect even deeply with those who share. Breaking the centrism in your feed will allow you to enjoy Nostr even more! Because you won’t only have one topic to learn about (which is the ultimate goal if you think it through).
First an foremost, you need to evaluate the things you like as a human being in a broad picture, so you can start aiming to more focused topics and profiles. You can start by determinate in which categories you are within the spectrum: Sports, art, news, finances, craft-making, etc… Once you know what to look for, we can start diving into more sections within each category with the tools you will see in this article.

1. Find, share and create a list of people you like the most

Finding lists of peoples to follow and bookmarks of their posts it made easy with this webapp. Not only that but you can create your own to help others find content that’s aligned to their likes or hobbies.

Keep in mind that this list IS actually a Nostr event so it can actually interact with the Nostrverse. Here in Habla.news the list will show in the article and is possible to interact with if from here if you are log in with your nsec.

2. Hashtags are a great way to find topics you like

That is why tools like zapddit.com (Vivek (npub1ltx…z40t)) are currently developing. It’s basically a hashtag curator where you can find and follow topics within the Nostr ecosystem. You can also visit Nostr.band and then hashtag section to see the most popular.

Another great tool is a webclient called primal.net (primal (npub12vk…pugg)), they are doing something similar to twitter where you can find the trending users. But you can also search for hashtags and then add those to your feed. Within those “sub-communities” you can find more people to follow and expand from there.

3. Share your hobbies with hashtags!

Let’s say you play piano and you would like to show your followers a video. That is great! But as a new nostr user your content might be very hidden in the sea of other users. You could add the #piano to your post, and make it so much more easy for new people to find your things. It works for both ways (follower and followed) for good.

4. Long form content combined with Highlighter(s)

You can discover new topics on clients like Habla.news or Blogstack.io from people around the world in a lot of different languages, but one way to discover an article of a specific content you might be looking for or interested in is using Zapworthy (https://gotnostr.com/[email protected]) or highlighter.com . They allow you to specifically point to one phrase that moved you in some way or found interesting. Then that same sentence can be exported as a Nostr event and published in zapworthy/Highlighter and in your personal Nostr Profile.
You have a couple options here, depending on how much you use Nostr based Long form content clients. The first option and the easiest one to do this is using it within Habla.news itself. You just need to find an article or post you like and then HIGHLIGHT IT

Then you can look in zapworthy.com and see all highlights. This helps people to look for something that caught your attention and you deem worhty of a nice zap. You can do this with any other article in the Internet, but instead you need to go to zapworthy page and use their console.

5. Following bots that query content for you

This one is self explanatory. Just use https://sb.nostr.band/ and search for the bot npub, follow it with your profile and let the bot do the rest. It will fetch content from anything that has the word that the bot is intended to look for; and also for hashed words as well.

Hope this was hopeful to you all! <3
