Spain has a cultural aversion to risk and variance. you can see it in career aspirations, financial tendencies, the structure of businesses, and the state itself. for those of us who sit on the opposite side of the spectrum (high agency, risk & variance tolerance) the mentality and environment can feel stiff at times, but it makes it easy af to outperform your peers in many areas of life.

2026-09-24 08:03:25 GMT

it ain't easy. it's a bit crazy & risky. but with the right person by your side you'll make it work and is 100% worth it. best thing that happened to me was my little boy. don't worry about the state of the world. the environment you create (home, frens & family) is the world you should care about imo.

2026-09-22 13:27:12 GMT

i thought nostr could solve the problem of having to install 42 apps for chatting with frens & family. i now have 69 and they STILL don't talk to each other and nobody can tell me why. it's just me shouting into the relay void, hoping that planets align and the other end uses the same brotocol. i just wanted to send some fart noises to my bros for shits and giggles :Sadge: is that a big ask?

NIP-29's reliance on a single relay is a double edged sword. simpler clients, but when the relay is gone ur fucked. @npub10td…x2wl the 0xChat relay has been down for a few days  might have to move some groups to Concord.

2026-09-21 08:42:48 GMT

unfortunately not possible as a single query. nostr has changed to use kind 1111 for replies but some clients still use kind 1.

NIP-17 falls apart with groups. the bigger the group, the less reliable it is. Concord solves group chat better (Amethyst, Armada, Vector support it). NIP-17 is just for 1on1 DMs IMO.

pure-play ai labs have no moat. i don't think they can build a sustainable business model long term. open weight models are "good enough", catch up fast and there is no switching cost. they are calling for a time-out to keep the scam going for a lil bit longer.
#nevent1q…wq79

2026-09-14 10:20:40 GMT

interesting project: run MoE models without huge RAM requirements by lazily loading weights from disk. i can't try it cuz my hardware sucks tho.

you'll have more fun in the nostr if you treat it as a hobby, a place to meet like-minded weirdos and experiment, and not as a source of income. anyone trying to live off tips is delusional. get a job irl or sell something.
