I don't think I was ever told puberty would be difficult. I don't think I worried about anything except randomly spraying blood everywhere one day. But that happened when I was 12. I think in my mind, that was really the only change to brace for. I don't think I even recognized all the other changes as puberty... or even noted when those changes happened.
I guess I was told, "as a teenager your brain is going to tell you to do a bunch of stupid things but don't do it." Alas, I had no urges to do stupid things.
