I believe the Jewish people deserves a sovereign land and self-determination, but I believe the Palestinian people also deserves it. Israel received the support of Western countries for various reasons (including guilt over Holocaust and strategic locations for military outposts), and after the 6 Days War, I feel like Palestinians ended up paying for the rest of Arabic nations that indeed wanted Israel wiped out. I assume the latter have been supporting Hamas ever since, for equally dubious reasons.
So it definitely isn’t only about Hamas and antisemitism, unfortunately it is a largest conflict than this and making sweeping statements about what something means is likely to be wrong.
