Reasons you might want to run a relay are numerous. Sometimes it might just be to see what it's like, before going through the effort to host it and configure it all by hand. Maybe you're a developer and simply need a playground to mess with having no limits and good response times. In less than 60 seconds and 21k sats you can be operating your own relay.
