I think you attribute malicious intent where there isn't. I choose Monero for example because after researching Lightning in depth, I genuinely don't think there is a good catch all solution to make it as easy to use privately as Monero. I'm always willing to hear subatantiated arguments why that's not the case.
It's also clear the other guy in the thread isn't coming from a place of malicious intent. Guy is building on vaporware and basically knows it. The writeup clearly indicates he has an intellectually honest opinion in favor of Ark and clearly is willing to toil away because of that honest view.
Your product would likely improve by being more willing to engage honestly with people who obviously want to poke honest holes in it.
