When Satoshi published #Bitcoin - the node and miners weren't separate - they were just one software solution .... and thus both were heavily incentivized .. over last ten years . .. nodes got separated and and are left dangling without any monetary benefits ... To compensate the Godly node runners for their old PCs and tiny electric bills :-) .... the proposal is to award them a million SATs a month of unintruppted node run .. This will obviously benefit the Bitcoin network as 1) more nodes means bigger resilient network 2) well fed node runners wouldn't fall pray to easy carrots . .. And it doesn't hurt anyone cuz whatever goes to node runners can be added as a new type of money to the network .. it will be called BITS :-) .. BITS wont change the 21 million btc supply constraint but they will also be maintained by network in terms of their own UTXOs .. why not ? Isn't it better than ORDIs and JPEGs ..
