I think the three areas we've spent a lot of time in was private key management, e2ee data synchronization, and identity/privacy. We have some interesting research and product ideas for any app that wants to protect user data while still offering a good UX. While we're not specifically targetting nostr or bitcoin things, some of our GTM strategy may include some experimentation with them.

You want us to announce that we might announce that we might shut down? Come on dude, I get that you're angry and confused and that not everything happens perfectly in hindsight from every single person's perspecrtive but be reasonable. We announced as soon as a decision was made, to give the most amount of time for people to migrate off. A timeline and further updates, including disabling new wallets, will come soon.
Mutiny+ users are month to month subscriptions and they've received their services for each month they were subscribed. We stopped processing payments for Mutiny+ about 2 months ago so there's nothing to refund.
We're not making another wallet.
What does this say about open source donations? Well, for one, you don't own people for life if you've ever zapped them. For two, look up the definition of donations. If you've expected something in return then that really says more about yourself. For three, we've delivered on our 6 month grant and our code is all FOSS. This isn't a lifetime commitment.
Again, literally everything about our shut down decisions is in the block. Things don't always work out in this world. You can accept it or you can lash out and reject it. The truth of the matter is you're never going to be happy with any kind of decision or answer when things like this are out of your control. Sorry this impacted you, you're still welcome to maintain and run the software we provided everyone for free.

I'm blown away by Cursor + Superwhisper + Claude 3.5 Sonnet.
Coded up a react webapp (I don't frontend) that used oauth to get distributed key shards to assembly a bitcoin pk, and then coded up a tic tac toe game.
All via speech, I did not type a single line of code.
Less than 1hr. Mostly just battled webpack/web assembly/bitcoin-js.

So far I've smoked meats in a new smoker, set up a new server rack, moved my huge workstation to another room and reorganized it, fixed a few doors and other things around the house, deep cleaned the kitchen, got a massage, groomed my dog, and went from iron to bronze in league of legends.

Basically blastr built into a client directly now. Glad to see clients catch onto one of the two main reasons why I built it in the first place.
I still think real private information retrieval is where we should end up on the read side. It really is a concern that your client developer is also your main/only relay where they can see EVERYTHING you do here.

There's a lot of value for it, my main argument against it is that there is yet to be a person or team that can demonstrate it's usefulness at all, yet alone at scale.
My only hope is that there are smaller pieces that can take advantage of it without it needing to be a huge full blown WoT-thing. Biased example, a small part of our app uses WoT for mint discovery but otherwise is not a WoT app.

Creatr is really cool, they're doing some unique things to try to paywall and control the spread of notes to other relays, like putting in an expiration tag.
Unfortunately not all relays obey this and some clients rebroadcast notes anytime they interact with them. So it almost makes it unusable as a paywall.
Really unfortunate. To me, it just confirms that Nostr is only ever usable as a mass broadcast messaging system. Which is okay, but just kills the whole idea of paywalls, "small relays", etc.

Rebroadcasting my creatr post doesn't work because of how they are handling special tags for it. I can't find the docs where I've read that right now.
However, yeah your reply to me does show up everywhere and my reply to you will as well since the Creatr platform doesn't have a good way to do that yet. However, I could manually apply the special tag and respond to you on only this relay. Not sure if you could do the same in theory.

Trying to figure out what balance I want between general personal/highly technical notes and "promotion" notes. Unfortunately I can't just "go dark" as much as I would love to.
The cool thing about Creatr is that you can use the same clients to see posts, whether you're subscribed or not.

Relays and clients handle things differently. You can view them just fine on other clients.
Quite simply, some may not want things sitting around forever. It was never your notes in the first place, not even your relay. If you want an archive of every event that has ever taken place on the internet, then run your own caching relay.

Why do this? After going through the experiment of trying to cut back on my SM usage and then delete as many of my notes as possible (utter failure), I feel like a good middle ground with nostr is having the ability to "control my own data" more.
I am not sure what I want out of Creatr, but I feel like this is a step in that direction.

We've changed some things around over the last few months, and have done more onboarding flows to make it more seamless but for existing users it might seem missing or confusing.
We have the friends tab, but if you haven't linked your nsec yet (used to be npub but we've moved towards being more of a nostr client and need to be able to sign events), you can do so in the settings.

I always knew deletes were not very well supported, but trying to go through the efforts and realizing that it barely functions at all makes me not want to post at all here anymore.

Tried deleting all of my nostr notes. There was probably like 10k of them across notes, replies, quotes, reactions, zaps, etc.
It did not work very well, all nostr clients handle it differently and a lot of nostr relays do not respect deletes.
Keep this in mind.
