It's not Trump. I mean, maybe a little on the surface, but mostly young people are crushed by debt and floundering in an increasingly unaffordable cost of living. They feel unable to achieve the level of success of previous generations.
Some of that is their own fault for being unwilling to start small and work up... they want everything their parents and grandparents had in middle and old age, but they want it right out of college.
But some of it is capitalism that's gone too far.

It seems like a step in the right direction!
My wallet in albyhub.com and in the Alby app through Umbrel still shows 7770 sats. How do I meld these wallets? It's okay if I lose some sats, but the end goal is to have ONE wallet, ONE hub, and for sats to be able to flow into and out of that single account.
Loca does all the stuff for Grumpy Old Dames website, and I think we all need to be on the same page, since she's the one who links up the boost capability.

I don't know if this means anything, but I feel I should mention it:
I contacted Alby support a couple of days ago to get instructions directly from them. They answered very quickly. Within an hour. I followed the instructions PRECISELY and kept hitting a wall regarding a recovery path. So I emailed again, thus:
"Please send me the correct Windows desktop installer (.exe) for the version that supports seed recovery."
Crickets for 24 hrs.
Does Alby not want me to recover my stuff?

I've followed instructions to the letter. I'm trapped in a loop. It would make anyone frustrated. Most non-tech people would have given up weeks ago. Or months ago.
I've provided all the relevant screen shots. I'm not sure if you were tagged in all of them, but I'm as transparent as I can be.
The 4 steps are probably geared for those who subscribe, and that's a viable business model.

You're right. A hundred bucks wouldn't even cover a night at the movies with my family. It's chump change. The POINT is that I'm not a chump! I don't simply throw money at every prince from Nigeria who just needs my bank account numbers to receive his inheritance.
I only want a clear path forward to recover the account. I did my part. I retained all the recovery phrase words and the public and private keys. It's not unreasonable to ask Alby to do its part and show me where they keep the lock.

I have both the seed/recovery phrase and literal virtual keys. I cannot find the ignition. That is, I cannot locate a field in which to type either the seed or the keys. Not on any platform. Not on the web. Not on the app through Umbrel. Not in the extension. It's deeply hidden.

I'vr TRIED. I've sent MANY screen shots. EVERYTHING leads me in a giant loop. I'm not trying to crochet here. There HAS to be a solution!
This whole thing is due to the fact that I CANNOT access any field in which to plant my SEED, which I still have. It appears that Alby has removed ALL access for ME (Maybe others can do it, but my system and setup simply WILL NOT) to a recovery link.
I've contacted support for a direct recovery link. They haven't answered yet.

I’ve spent WEEKS trying to get into the Alby Hub wallet I made in July. Every tutorial shows magical buttons that refuse to appear for me. Pages loop, menus vanish, features teleport. I’m starting to wonder if my setup was built on a dare. Adam was right — it’s a miracle any of this functions. At this point I’m running on sheer determination and caffeine.

It'll rally. It always does. I keep an eye on my positions, but I don't sweat the swings too much. Long-haul investments like mutuals and metals usually trend upward over time. I've taken a chance on a very few individual stocks, and I usually just break even on those. The fund managers are WAY better at it than I am. I'll gladly pay a commission for that.

Vaguely. Until this morning, I could see sats on both computers, but only in the extension. The Hub ALWAYS said 0 sats until today. I consider that progress.
