I disagree when he uses the word "avatar". That word is for people who are deputies of God. Prophets. Seeing as he wrote the book, and he thinks this is the height of enlightenment...

Relating to the above: I'm the opposite of the average student. I love to learn and I love to teach, but my academic performance is terrible because I don't do the grunt work. Perhaps more of a knowledge communicator than a hardworking engineer or scientist.

I don't think most parents truly care that the kid is a repository of knowledge or that their grades are good.
What they care about is that the kid has a good life. If school didn't exist, but being able to make balloon animals was an important job qualification and indicator of success, that's what parents would want for their children.
I suspect that scholars sometimes forget about this, because they love knowledge for knowledge's sake. They have a philo - love - for Sophia - the goddess of wisdom. They're philosophers, in other words.

Sounds worth taking some notes on. Because it's the opposite of problem solving. It's asking you to use your imagination boundlessly.
Many things that people wish for in life are really just solutions to problems. So, assuming that all your problems are already solved, or are easily solved, what comes next?

Went to this place in Oslo today. I like it because it and the people who go there display some semblance of character and individuality, which can not be said for the rest of the city. It's a little bit like Kristiania in Copenhagen. I wish I could live and work in a place like that.

Also scientists: The skin makes vitamin D if you get some sun, which is good for you.
So... Stay inside like a vampire to avoid cancer and take vitamin D supplements to compensate?
Sunblock? No thanks. Icky. I don't use any kind of lotion because the sensation is so unpleasant. And you're already sweating from the heat. I'm quite sure it would be hopeless anyway. I'd sweat and wipe all the lotion away.

But many everyday things come quite naturally for neurotypical people, or is something they already picked up in early childhood. I suspect Scandinavia - especially Sweden - is good at pop #musicproduction precisely BECAUSE of its lack of defining characteristics. If the music isn't too weird or complex but the melodic and harmonic core is strong, it'll be palatable to more people.
In the United States, one genre with such a strong core is country music. When American country singers take that strong core and get rid of the fiddles, hats and boots, they often become quite popular.
