This is a complete solution on how to setup and run your own payment system using VirtualBox, Ubuntu, Umbrel OS with Bitcoin Node and Lightning Node by using your existing PC (Windows) or Mac (IOS) without costing you anything, assuming you have the available storage capacity in your hard drive, if not, then it is recommended to add a second drive with at least 1TB of capacity.
Step 1: Installing VM VirtualBox
Download VM VirtualBox 7.0.10 from the official website:
https://www.virtualbox.org/
Download Ubunto: https://ubuntu.com/download/desktop
Step 2: Configure the Virtual Machine (VM) and Install Ubunto
Summary of the Terminal commands:
To switch to root: su -
To add to sudoer file: sudo usermod -aG sudo username
To open Sudoer file: sudo visudo
To add username to sudoer: (username) ALL=(ALL:ALL) ALL
To correct display and update sudo: sudo apt update
To install build essential: sudo apt install build-essential dkms linux-headers-$(uname -r)
After inserting guest CD Image: ./autorun.sh
Step 3. Install Umbrel OS
To install Curl: sudo snap install curl #version 8.1.2
To instal UmbrelOS: curl -L https://umbrel.sh | bash
On your VM Umbrel open Firefox type the IP address 10.0.2.15
