I finally put my 'Triangle Runes' numeral system up on my website last night!
This is a numbering system that uses the three points of a triangle to represent values from 0 to 999 in a single glyph/rune. It's inspired by Cistercian numerals, but deliberately reduced to 1,000 values per glyph, to make it easier to string glyphs together & represent even larger numbers.

Odd Little World is, in my opinion, one of my life's grander achievements -- squeezing a whole tabletop civilization game into a 16-page minizine.
It's very silly, has no combat (unless you choose to imagine combat), & instead focuses on exploring, trading, and solving problems.

gonna put a dual boot linux mint xfce / windows XP on this lil netbook & try to use it as my live audio effects unit
I did a test run on the Xubuntu install that's on there now & it seemed able to handle at least 4 effects with ~5-11ms latency. I think I heard it hiccup once, but it was only saying about 10% CPU usage, so I bet I could add on a bit more
the XP I wanna try cause I have like a GB of windows-compiled VST plugins that would be fun to use & won't work on linux

what's a good way to just sync certain folders? like if I keep a backup of my USB drive on my computer, to be able to hook it up & tell it to sync any changes? (and visa versa with i.e. having a certain USB drive for backing up my computer's music library or something)

the only camera I've got that can get a decent moon photo is this old Fujifilm Finepix. It's just a point-and-shoot guy, but it has 26x optical zoom?? and if you zoom basically all the way in it will actually auto-focus on the moon.
