Dear New York Times:
Please stop calling it a hush money case. He isn't on trial for paying the woman money to be quiet.
He's in trial for attempting to disguise the payment to this woman as a lawyer fee when it was actually a payment to his campaign to squash information that would be negative to his campaign from getting out.
He said it was lawyers fees but it was his campaign trying to squash news, and it was illegal.
Please write accurate headlines. That would help the American public a lot in these troubled times.

So I might be having fewer truly BAD days? Like maybe the meds and the therapy are actually helping?
Or maybe I'm fooling myself.
This is all so difficult to assess due to the nature of what it is to begin with.
I need to have fewer bad days, so I can begin to feel hope. Without hope there's no possibility of healing.

I clicked on a couple of videos on YouTube of men with nice bodies because, well, looking at nice male bodies is a thing I enjoy.
And now YouTube is serving me the most extreme stuff possible. Like, hardcore, impossible to achieve body dysmorphia inspiring stuff.
This is one example.
I mean, I'm getting TONS of this stuff now.
If I were 12, this could maybe wreck my psyche.

Jeff got a new grinder recently that he's all gaga over, and honestly I can't imagine caring about much more than having coffee, let alone caring how it is ground, and I hardly ever drink it.

The new year has begun here with fog all day long. The fog here is a mystery to me but I'm sure meteorologists could explain it. There have been some winters here where the fog has been present for literally 5 weeks without letting up. I truly hope that isn't this winter. I do like a bit of a hint of sun.

Okay, so today's suffering is leading me to once again wonder what the fuck is going on with me.
My physical symptoms today have included a couple of rounds of vomiting but mostly have involved shaking. Like, those times when you get too cold and your body shakes? Yeah, that's me, lying in bed because I'm helpless to do much else, waiting for whatever the fuck is going on has passed.
As far as I have been able to tell so far, this is all a presentation of trauma, there's nothing actually physical wrong with me. I've had tests for a zillion neurological issues and all of them come up negative.
So there's a thing where it's like a physical panic response, like that feeling when you've gotten off a rollercoaster... but it lasts for hours and can build up into debilitating shakes where I have to go lie down.
IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS THESE SYMPTOMS AND HAS A DIAGNOSIS AND IS RECEIVING HELPFUL TREATMENT PLEASE GET IN TOUCH.
I'm unemployed, losing hope, and needing some change.

We got a box of treasure today -- a shipment of 25 lbs of fresh Hatch green chile. Husbear is outside roasting them right now. We don't have a big chile tumble roaster so we use our Weber grill. This involves a lot of turning and roasting and then resting in paper bags and eventually going into freezer bags, 3-4 peppers each. When we want green chile, it's fresh roasted and frozen, we just thaw, peel, seed, and use.

Back in the early Nineties when I was a baby queer, if you travelled to any city anywhere you looked up the LGBTQ bookstore. And there you would find, along with a lot of queer books and merchandise carefully curated by the shop owners for their city, usually a City Guide that would tell you the places that were safe for you to go if you were queer.
It's only been about 30 years since it was unsafe to go to a restaurant or hotel or many other public accommodations as an identifiably queer couple. I was thrown out of a restaurant with my first boyfriend because we casually touched hands across the table. More than once I've been sat in the least desirable location in the restaurant while out with a male date; also more than once had our service degraded to the point that we left.
It should be hanging a rainbow flag outside your establishment is a signal that you are a safe space for queer people.
Now it's becoming a target for people who hate queer people.
