Over the past few years a cousin, single, overly learned nerd, multiple history degrees, a literature degree, and a Phd in something irrelevant, have been digging in to the Jewish questions of the world. It has left me thinking they are a pathological people and this article just adds to that impression.

As if I didn't have enough to do with ornery critters to care for, despite their constant efforts to do themselves harm, and me, the wife insisted we add an additional source of easy, good, and cheap protein to the farm store and our table. Meat sheep. We just had our first ewe born.
Each ewe can birth two lambs a year, nearly full grown in 6 months at little cost. I can cotton to this quickly. They eat a small fraction of what my cattle eat.. And, when the rams butt you it's just annoying..

At supper tonight my sons asked me the craziest concert I'd ever been to; I'd been to many. Easy. Lynyrd Skynyrd North Charleston, SC early 90's. Just back from our tiny rural church's Christmas potluck and kid's Christmas program. My sons are by far the oldest and two of the only three boys. The old hens that ran it didn't give any consideration to how cowboy-boot-wearing country boys would feel being dressed up in such silly ways. It was funny as heck! I'm not going to let this one go for a while, despite the wife warning me not to tease them over it. Haha it was a sight!

Today began in interesting fashion. Sitting in my climber stand I hear the clear sounds of a canine trotting around my area. It was a large fox that darts into view with a giant coyote on his heels. They circle my stand twice then the coyote breaks off his chase and begins to walk about. Soon after a large buck comes running into view charging the coyote and chasing it away from the area. My sons informed me a school mate was suspended for making threats with a gun. It's a small private Christian school so we took a different tact. My wife, Dr. of Counseling, contacted the headmaster and said let's redeem this boy. She proposed that the coaches come along side of him and make his awkward boy a team manager. The empathetic headmaster was delighted a parent wanted to help the lad instead of further push him away. Let us pray for Leland and the school-wide effort to redeem this boy.

The wife insisted I go with she and my boys to meet a group of kids and parents to trick'r treat in the nearest town 35 miles away. I was amazed at all the hispanics that were there when last year there were only a few hispanic families. This is a small Southern town of about 15k people and in just a couple years it has changed dramatically.

Two days ago one of my son's horses kicked me but as I was right up against him I didn't get the full force of a horse's kick. He just connected with my left hip. It was hard but I've been hit by cows much harder so I didn't think much of it. Two days later and my hips, both of them are aching.
Any of y'all in medicine? Is there any kind of injury that it didn't really hurt too bad at first but by day three both hip are hurting? No bruising, inflammation, nothing obvious but the ache.

My early-maturing 12 year old and I were out getting deer stands prepped for hunting season. @npub14w3…9vjx I'm not surprised this pic was of interest to you. The moment I saw the boy with the jacket on I thought of those excellent British war movies because of that royal red. Seems like a very British jacket. I may be wrong.
Of course, to complicate the ensemble he is wearing a yankee infantry cap. Not sure what twisted rascal gave him that cap...

I have this youngin that cannot help but be a character in all that he does. For his birthday mama took him to an antique store to hunt a gift. He comes home with this bright red sport jacket with all these buttons and a bugle. I sure do love being this boy's daddy. He is a great gift to me and his mama.
