first one is called Greedfall - very much an homage to early Bioware RPGs. It's an odd blend of fantasy, colonialism, and pirates.
Second is called Steelrising - Gameplay is pretty standard Souls-like. The main character is a maid automaton who has to fight an army of evil robots during the French revolution.

Do you know any new open source projects that deserve recognition?
Projects that are:
- Solving real world problems and driving technical innovation
- Improving science, research or medicine
- Challenging long standing platforms or paradigms
- Just super nerdy and doing something novel!
If you do, please share them and perhaps we can help them get the attention they deserve. 🧡

I am queer and I understand the world is a scary place and this is particularly scary time. There is a growing threat of prejudice, erasure, violence and many find refuge within online communities; myself included. A community that makes people feel safe, seen and included is one worth striving for. I have been part of the Ubuntu community since I was a teenager and I have come to meet so many amazing queer people within it. They all deserve a community that respects and values them. I am speaking 100% as myself and not on behalf of any company or in any official capacity. There was a new user on the Ubuntu Discourse who recently posted an introduction topic as many are encouraged to do when they arrive. One of the community volunteer moderators edited this user's topic and removed the word "queer" from it. To be very clear and direct: This was a mistake and should not have happened. Period. The original text has been restored. [CONTINUED]

Oh and two more helpful bits:
- In RetroArch, I typically go into Settings > Video > Full Screen Mode and kick that on so games will more often launch in full screen.
- And once you have a a few games in EmulationStation, bring up the Menu from the main screen, Open Scraper, Select all your systems in the third option down and hit Start. It will grab some box art, descriptions and even a little video preview of your titles.

- snap install RetroArch
- Open RetroArch and download a couple cores of systems you'll want to emulate.
- Download the latest EmulationStation appimage
- Run the appimage, select a fresh ROMs folder, hit "Create" so it can build out your folder hierarchy, close it out, toss your ROMs into those new folders.
- Open it back up, choose game, PROFIT 🎮
