Image-based (aka atomic, or "immutable") desktop has became really great recently.
I would really recommend bluefin-dx from @npub16dx…4szy , which have an explicit goal that the users should never needing to maintain their systems.
I personally use secureblue, which is also based on universal blue. It is very stable, but the developer sometimes will disable stuff in the name of security without notification.
But in terms of battery life and heat, I don't think linux desktop can compare. I use a framework 13 AMD, it can barely make it through a day without charging, with minimal video watching and video calls. I think a good amount of Apple's battery life comes from its efficient video decoding/encoding.

What really is synthetic domain theory?
The common pitch I have heard is that it focus on how domains interact with each other. But I fail to make the correspondence to say, topos of trees.
Is it just a way to use topos as domains? And how is it more desirable than classical domain theory like scott continuity and DCPOs?

I would be interested in your take on DP. I don't have a lot of research experience on DP, especially local DP, which I assume is what they use here. But my advisor happens to be an expert on DP, so I heard about it from time to time.
"anonymized can often be de-anonymized", I think this is the entire bases around DP, the aggregated data cannot be traced back to individual level.

Unfortunately wireless charging is still terribly inefficient, and overheats like crazy. IMO it should probably only be used in an emergency.
