same bro. but weed is holding us back.
i picked up rolling my own cigarettes for a few months once i quit weed. that helped reduce stress when needed. but smoking the paper is awful.
now i just puff a mild pure cigar (hoyo monterrey) now and then. i eat a bit of chocolate and coffee or slam an electrolyte while i smoke it.

it sucks. completely my fault. the park was too busy and i shouldn’t have let him go out there. i was close to him but also had my one year old with me. i got distracted for a second and boom. he got wrecked my a bmxer.
stitched him up and he will be fine i hope. but it’s right above his eye. i’m hoping the eyelid will function properly and his vision will be fine. but can’t tell until it heals. he is in good spirits today but i’m really being hard on myself. my heart feels like it’s going to explode

yeah i hear you, but not entirely sold.
sufficient backups introduces many attack vectors and a lot of complexity.
trusting your heirs to not steal it isn’t the only way it could go south. general management of keys, for instance.
they can fuck it up in many ways. lose it, expose it, get scammed. who do they trust to help them navigate bitcoin? not many people know how to use bitcoin. you’re giving a big responsibility to someone who may not fully grasp bitcoin yet.
for me, the balance of security, simplicity and usability lies in multisig.

SFOP 3. if someone finds my seed, because its in multiple locations. sats lost (if no passphrasse)
SFOP 4. how does this solve inheritance without sharing your Seed + PP. heirs could walk away with your corn anytime. sats lost
isnt seed + passphrase essentially a 2/2 multisig, from a fundamentals pov(not technical)?
2/3 multi sig with geographically distributed keys and multiple wallet config backups has none of these failures.
i just don’t see how SS + passphrase is superior to 2/3 MS, unless it’s for small amounts and quick access.
