I missed this quote from the Firefox ToS when I was reading about it yesterday.

I know Mozilla added a note that people are misunderstanding their intent, but that kind of legal language along with the "royalty-fee worldwide license to data you input" thing do not below in an open-source browser.

and ultimately while it is Google, YouTube giving creators 50% of revenue makes it one of the better platforms. Like I know Hank Green said while he can sometimes get a lot more views on Tiktok, YouTube pays him way better.
I still think videos with music in the background giving 30% of the video's revenue just to record labels is thievery, but I'll take what I can get.

They seemed like they had a good ethos, but the Akamai acquisition pushed me towards Hetzner. I've heard good things about Akamai's CDN, but Akamai seems just so enterprise-y.

For built-in functions I don't prefix anything, but for any global members I create I'll use `window.x = ` to declare them. For global members I create it's also more clear where they're coming from if I reference them with `window.x`

It's working for me on Firefox. I don't think it has a "success" condition yet. So, it just keeps feeding you new captchas and doesn't tell you if you succeeded. They should probably explain that part in the UI.

It appears someone captured the moment the 2nd stage broke up. This is how rockets breaking up tend to look due to the tanks getting ruptured and the gas rapidly expanding.

For anyone coming across this thread and wanting context—
A little while ago Starship test launch #7 took off from Boca Chica, Texas. The first stage booster successfully came back to the launch site and was caught. However, SpaceX lost communication with the 2nd stage soon after the 2 stages separated.
At this point it's pretty much guaranteed that this footage is of the 2nd stage breaking up as it re-enters the atmosphere over the Carribean.

yeah. I mean CalDav is a universal standard and a lot of Todo apps support it. But, you might just have the same edit problems and you have to either pay for someone to host it or set up a server yourself.
But, that's a good point, are there no Todo apps that just focus on syncing directly between 2 people.

I recently bought a pack of NFC tags to use with @npub1hn2…kl6z and I gotta say—I'm really happy with how they're working out.
I have the apartment problem where I have IoT bulbs everywhere, but turning on/off those bulbs means opening an app. But, now I can just tap my phone to turn on a room's lights or turn off all lights before I leave. It's nice, and was only about $10 for 30 tags.

Text fragments came to Firefox?! That's an exciting update.
"Firefox 131 promises support for text fragments, which can be used to link directly to a specific portion of text in a web document via a special URL fragment"
It says "For web developers", but really this is a great feature for non-devs because it means you don't have to go looking for anchor IDs and you can link a specific sentence of text from an article.

**Why does this matter?**
When you want to use ai to make logical decisions in your code, you NEED ai to give a well-formatted JSON. Early on, this was very difficult and dodgy.
Last year, OpenAI gave you a way to request a "JSON response" from gpt-4, which improved its usability in code.
Today, it's now possible to get valid JSON 100% of the time. This makes it so much easier to add complex decision-making to your code, without having to worry about gpt-4o giving you wacky responses.
