b) he wanted to be PM, & he was pretty ruthless about it?
c) if he wants a corporate box, then he can always hire one for himself? It isn't a question of a stand seat or nothing.

As for Farage, I despise him, and ser through his grifting, but he did better on July 7th than the Lib Dems (on vote share & actual votes) and many of my neighbours find him persuasive. Unless their genuine grievances over health, social care, housing & living standards are met, he will start to turn those votes into seats, as voters in left behind areas like mine, abandon austerity donor controlled monetarist Labour just like they abandoned the Tories.

Reeve's Black Hole doesn't exist. She's committed to austerity which will cause further recession & which even Osborne admitted wasn't necessary. Boosting Pension Credit applications will COST MORE than she saves in WFP - & taxes don't finance public spending.
It's more than "one policy".
Farage is waiting in the wings for Reeves' failure. My neighbours BELIEVE him.

As a follower of Jesus, in the Anabaptist tradition, I agree. For civil society, I want secularism not theocracy. Although my idea of secularism involves debate in the public square in which religious beliefs have an equally respected (but not privileged) voice.
The tolerance of difference is a difficult one - rights invariably overlap & clash, & a society cannot be so tolerant that it permits one minority to abuse another minority.

Calling Trump "weird" won't persuade those who care about genocide, to stay silent while 000s more r killed.

For Christian Zionists this is an important eschatological goal, as they maintain it is all part of a (disputed) prophesied lead up to Armageddon and the return of the Messiah. Worship by Jews on "Temple Mount" is a symbolic lead up to building, first a synagogue, then a full Temple.

Yet Palestinians in (occupied) Bethlehem (15 mins away by car) have been DISconnected from (occupied) E. Jerusalem ever since the separation barrier & checkpoints went up.
This is a clear illustration of apartheid in action.
1 piece of land.
2 diff't lots of infrastructure.
Access decided on basis of race, religion, citizenship.
Advantage given to occupier over occupied.

A secular argument (which I subscribe to) is that countries have to work together by consensus. (we don't do that, we suffer under a "might is right" sort of morality known as capitalism).
A religious argument - if God wants those boundaries then God can bring them about, meanwhile the prophets dictate how we should behave - with love, mercy, peace and justice.
Hebrew prophets constantly criticised ancient Israel for reliance on foreign aid, but don't mention that...

I've been waiting for that one to surface.
In one sense she is right , there are many Hebrew scriptures that do give those boundaries for a land of promise - addressed to the descendants of Abram, & to later leaders, & they were said to be the boundaries of Solomon's empire at the height of his power.
But they are conditional COVENANTAL promises, not absolute ones, & subject to much interpretation & most important, they are NO JUSTIFICATION FOR GENOCIDE in 2024.
