Warren Buffett’s solution to the US deficit:
“Anytime there’s a deficit of more than 3% of GDP, all sitting members of Congress are ineligible for re-election.”
Do you agree with him?

Canada just put 15% to 50% tariffs on $20 billion worth of US products.
The US raises tariffs. Americans pay more.
Canada retaliates. Then American businesses lose sales.
Then the US raises tariffs again. And Americans pay even more.
Over $100 billion in tariff refunds has been paid out so far.
The government sent $0 to US consumers. Companies got the refunds.
It’s like taking money from your own citizens, then handing it to corporations.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The U.S. added more debt in the past 10 years than it accumulated in its first 240 years.
The CBO projects federal debt held by the public will hit 175% of GDP by 2056.
Net interest costs will top $1 trillion this year and more than double to $2.1 trillion by 2036.
Congress keeps postponing the pain. The bond market won’t.

Pay very close attention to what’s happening in the bond market.
Trump was asked what he’ll do after Treasury yields rose again. He said the US could use the military.
“The ultimate intervention is our military. And if we have to use that, we will.”
Everyone eventually answers to the bond market.

Poverty gets more expensive the longer you’re stuck in it.
Can’t afford a credit card bill? Next month, pay the bill plus interest and late fees.
Can’t afford a car repair? Later, pay for a tow, a bigger repair, and missed work.
Can’t afford a doctor visit? Later, pay an ER bill.
Can’t afford to fix a cavity? Later, pay for a root canal.
Poverty charges interest.

Millions of people are paying around 21% interest on expenses they already couldn't afford.
Americans owe another $1.66 trillion in student loans.
10.3% of all student loan debt is now 90+ days late. The worst since before the pandemic pause.
The average new-car payment has reached $770 a month. Even the average used-car payment is now $531.
5.6% of auto loan debt is at least 90 days late. That’s the highest level in records going back to 2003.

I read all 46 pages of the Fed’s latest household debt report.
Total US household debt has reached a record $18.8 trillion. That's $4.6 trillion more than at the end of 2019.
Household debt grew by $740 billion in 2025 alone. That’s more than $2 billion every single day.
Americans now owe $1.25 trillion on their credit cards, near a record high.
13.1% of all credit card balances are at least 90 days late. That’s the highest share in 16 years and near levels seen after the financial crisis.

An oral version of a 15-PGDH blocker is already in human clinical trials for muscle weakness. If this same pathway works in patients with arthritis, joint damage will be repairable before surgery becomes the only option.
Medicine is now helping the body repair itself.

Stanford scientists just solved one of the biggest problems with human aging.
They found a way to regrow joint cartilage.
They blocked an aging-linked protein called 15-PGDH, and the results were massive. Old, worn cartilage began to grow back in older mice. Human cartilage samples also showed signs of new cartilage growth.
This is a massive milestone for human longevity. Actual biological repair. Proof that the body can fix its own parts.

Unemployment benefits stop at week 26 in most states. So the moment you cross into this group, the safety net disappears.
Companies aren't hiring. If you don't have a job, you're stuck in line behind everyone who lost theirs after you. Recent grads can't even get in the line.
And the longer you're out, the harder it gets. Hiring managers see a resume gap and move on. Which extends the gap. It's a doom loop. And 2 million people are stuck in it.

2026-06-10 22:58:27 GMT

2 million Americans haven't had a paycheck in over 6 months.
That's up +524,000 in a year. The most since 2021.

Inflation crushes the bottom 80%. Everyday costs go up. Corporate profits hit record highs while wages stay completely flat.
This is how the middle class disappears.

JUST IN: The personal savings rate dropped to 2.6% (down from 5.5% a year ago).
In 60 years, it’s only been this low twice:
1. COVID pandemic spending in 2021
2. Right before the 2008 Great Recession
After savings hit their 2007 low: Unemployment doubled, home prices collapsed, and the stock market lost roughly 50% over 18 months.
Right now: Prices remain elevated. Wages are flat. Layoffs are quietly increasing. Credit card debt just hit a new all-time high.

In Missouri, voters ousted 4 city council members. The reason? They'd approved a $6 billion data center one week earlier.
360,000 Americans have joined Facebook groups fighting data center expansion.
Energy bills are rising because data centers drain power grids. Wells are running dry near server farms. People fear losing their jobs. The revolt is here.

2026-05-26 21:16:18 GMT

The only thing growing faster than AI right now is how much regular people absolutely hate it.
I've never seen public opinion turn this quickly.
48 data center projects worth $156 billion got blocked last year and 20 were canceled in the first quarter of this year.
Tech executives are getting booed during college graduation speeches. Someone threw a Molotov cocktail at Sam Altman's home.

100,000+ tech workers have lost their jobs in 2026.
Microsoft. Meta. Amazon. Intel. PayPal. Oracle. Cisco. The names just keep coming.
The assembly line eliminated craftsmen, automation eliminated factory workers, and now AI is eliminating tech jobs. The pattern never changes.

It now matches the total amount of U.S. student loans.
People are taking 7-10 year car loans just to afford a monthly payment.
The average American now pays $735/month just to own a car. That’s $88,200 over 10 years. On something that LOSES value every single day.

Americans feel WORSE about the economy right now than during the 2008 financial crisis. Worse than COVID. Worse than the 1970s. Think about that.
Here's the part that should worry you most:
Sentiment drives behavior. When people feel poor, they act poor. They cut spending. They delay big purchases. They pull back.
And when enough people do that at the same time, a recession they feared becomes a recession they created.

Imagine that.

His bosses tried to replace him with a machine.

When he refused they fired him.
Zhou fought back and took them to court.
He won.
The company appealed the decision to a higher court.
Zhou won again.
The Hangzhou Intermediate People Court ruled that AI is not a legal excuse to break a job contract.

The US Navy blockade of the Strait of Hormuz is now LIVE.
As of 10am ET, US warships are stopping any ship heading to or from Iranian ports.
Here’s what you need to know:
1. The blockade applies to ALL nations, not just Iran. Any vessel going to or from an Iranian port gets intercepted. Doesn’t matter what flag it flies.
2. Non-Iranian ships can still move through the Strait. This is targeted economic pressure. Not a full shutdown.

2026-04-12 20:29:32 GMT

Do you understand what happened in the past 12 hours?
> Trump ordered US Navy to block all ships entering or leaving the Strait of Hormuz effective immediately.
> Trump threatened s 50% tariff on China if it sends any weapons to Iran.
> Peace talks between the US and Iran have failed. Both sides have returned home.
And it's only Sunday. Monday will be interesting to say the least.
