Explain how he is in DEEP trouble? If the price of btc goes down more, MSTR will go down more. Is that deep trouble? If so this is very click baity / uninteresting. Or are you saying he will get liquidated? That would be more interesting but show some analysis (if btc price hits x i think mnav falls to y, etc).

This makes sense from the federal perspective. That would be a taxpayer neutral to accumulate Bitcoin now? Maybe not though cause you’d have to print more money to cover for the amount that went straight into the strategic reserve.

A guy hurt his neck surfing today. Me and a couple guys helped him to shore and did our best stabilize his neck. And waited for a medic to come. He seemed to be doing better and they took him to the nearest harbor to get him to a boat and to a hospital. Bad feeling not knowing what to do / feeling useless. Going to take a cpr class when I get home. Seems like a good way to make the world around you a safer place.

My guess: it has to do with surprise. What triggered the yen carry trade unwind was multiple unexpected developments in the span of acouple days that all went against the trade. 1. Was BOJ unexpectedly raised rates for the first time in a very long time (have to pay back more expensive money to unwind trade). 2. There was a surprisingly bad US jobs report (makes it more likely then previously thought that rate cuts were in play). So all the people participating in a trade that was common place for 10/15+ years and most likely grew complacent were hit with a lot of surprising information in a short amount of time which causes panic => unwind position => makes situation worse. Now I think people are more weary of the trade and have a higher threshold for panic / positioned slightly different since the first unwind. I know I am forgetting acouple other pieces of news that came out that caused the initial unwind but that is what I got from the hip. Big picture I think it is kind of mental shift. Went from a trade everyone did for a decade plus and made money off of to panic sell this trade is blowing up! Now that’s fresh in people minds and they are positioned and acting accordingly (less easy to spook)

Thank you for the interesting post.
The last paragraph is a great point and something that is always missed by people who dismiss simulation theory. If we are in a simulation it is illogical to use the simulation parameters (our understanding of our world) to prove that we are not in a simulation. If we are in a simulation how can we have any confidence in what is possible in the world that the simulations creator exists in? Is it illogical to say a simulation thought is completely unable address a reality that is outside the framework of the simulation?
I’ve never understood this. What am I missing?
