@nprofile…ryua Waze, GPS in general: I don't follow them. I form my own routes, which tend to be (not exclusively though) side roads, with few left turns.
My commute by car would be about 8 minutes, but I usually take 15-20. Go by the lake, or down the old river valley.
It does come up, usually as a form of mockery though.
My FiL is a retired trucker, who rattles off every turn, every highway, for thousands of miles. Sequentially. It's like the shipping forecast, but of roads.

@nprofile…ffqc they know time really well eh? We have an auto feeder for the dry food, I don't adjust the clock on that so they don't generally have to worry about human clocks

@nprofile…el4d This rando stray cat from the woods has figured out on of my family members... hangs out by the door, and gets a little bowl of food.
The family member has dementia, so just keeps feeding the cat over and over. Lucky cat!

@nprofile…el4d hah. I put on my boots, and let the neighbour know I have their cat... it's always one of two near-by 'yard cats' being sneaky.
They like churro tubes!
We do have a family of junco's, one parent bird and three fledglings. They stick pretty close to me on the fence or in the trees when I am out there.. instinctively, I call them like a cat, but they don't respond :P

**just** warm enough to go rescue the #miata from winter storage. Couple warm, sunny days in the forecast so might this week work through the rest of the stabilized gas perhaps.
Given the quarter windows are not rain-proof, to stave off dash fade, and as wood burning is still in vogue here, this year going to try it under a cover...

Enough pieces arrived to bring the server online, it's operational, proxmox is installed, and it's joined to the (low-availability) cluster.

City of St. John's moving off #Twitter/X. Fire department, also.
Quote counciller Ophelia Ravencroft:

@nprofile…wuyc for reference, this would save roughly 18 hours of drive time from Toronto to QC for the average ON driver.
Or save roughly 25 minutes from QC to Toronto for the average PQ driver.

@nprofile…taps
Updated for the new 400 bill. net worth:
Elon could take 1% of his wealth, start over, and live for a full 100 years never having to work a day; if he donated 20% of that income annually to charity, he would still take home 30x the average household income of Washington DC - i.e., have 30 houses, 15 cabins, 60 cars, etc. - all while paying standard income taxes. The remaining 'pocket change', ~350/wk, is equal or more than most have on social programs.
It is a lot...
