Sure, like any other word it is defined by its usage, while ActivityPub is defined by W3C.
Most people use it to refer to ActivityPub. Those who don't, can't be "proven wrong", but that does not mean they are right.
One can only point out the confusion resulting from the arbitrary way of speaking about systems.

installing appimage on Manjaro (Wayland on Nvidia):
Camera does not work, importing backup seemed to work. Then the window content disappeared, I closed the window but the process still kept running. Killing all Tauri processes made it possible to start it again. Looked great - upon first interaction everything in the window disappears again. 🤷‍♂️
Did that help?
To some degree it is better than the Electron flatpak version already (it does not start at all if I don't provide extra arguments :P )

I think it is a fundamentally broken approach because even *if* we somehow keep those hundreds (or thousands?) of people maintaining builds – how can you have trust in security of a process when it all boils down to an arbitrary single human per device?

Here is my beef with android and custom roms in general: being able to run LineageOS is fine, but obviously all it needs to stop getting updates is the *one* maintainer breaking his model of the phone – and you are out of luck.
You don't even get notified – updates suddenly… just don't happen anymore.
I really want a system that works like a PC. 😩

From my point of view every Godot FPS game suffers from micro stutters like this:

I can reproduce this in Manjaro on X11 and Wayland, on Nvidia and Intel GPUs on high refresh Monitors and a slow 60hz Laptop.
I tested at least 7 other FPS templates/implementations. This bug seems hardcoded into the engine.
Think I'm full of shit? - Show me any smooth FPS in Godot, I'd *LOVE* to be proven wrong.

I'm really confused why #peertube does not allow to encode videos client side, so that one can just upload the file. It is so unnecessary to re-encode and add extra artifacts instead of just providing the right file from the get go. (not even mentioning scaled versions)

Hot take: Hosting FOSS projects on Github is like having Fridays for Future meetups in Exxon Mobile Headquarters.

"Patches welcome" can perfectly be interpreted as a "Fuck off", given the right context. You seem to assume that the "Fuck off" context is always fine, because of the very nature of everybody's voluntary involvement .
It is a bit like defending being rude whenever you can. Sure you can, but that does not make it ok.
As a disclaimer, I think this cuts both ways as bug reports can be rude and opinionated, too.
