STAKCING IT UPPPP, also it's very common internationally to merely require a masters to do a PhD and not have it be in the field you wish to study! This obvs depends on the field and the institution though

I don't wanna comment too much on my academic life here but I didn't have to do a masters because they liked the work I did for my bsci, I also haven't wrapped up just yet!
