At our childcare centres in Argentina, sport is much more than exercise. Through movement, children build confidence, develop motor skills, learn teamwork and experience moments of joy that every child deserves. For many of these children, these activities provide not only health benefits, but friendship, belonging and the freedom to simply be a kid. npub10n84zrtwuee397akzqpsgrhrvjn4afvlpxugzpx43lvdgccm0u5sut9yjc khweinewelt PROJECT LAUNCH – The construction of a new school has begun in the village of Shirkot in Nepal. That’s a very special milestone for us! 🎉 npub10n84zrtwuee397akzqpsgrhrvjn4afvlpxugzpx43lvdgccm0u5sut9yjc khweinewelt Today, we got a christmas recipe for you from our project team in Argentina! Pan Dulce is a real highlight of the christmas season in Argentina and many other Latin American countries. This sweet, moist yeast cake, also known as “panettone,” is traditionally enjoyed during advent and is an integral part of family celebrations. npub10n84zrtwuee397akzqpsgrhrvjn4afvlpxugzpx43lvdgccm0u5sut9yjc khweinewelt What does it mean? npub10n84zrtwuee397akzqpsgrhrvjn4afvlpxugzpx43lvdgccm0u5sut9yjc khweinewelt In March, our KHW project manager travelled to Mali to visit our health and education projects. Meeting the children, talking to parents and local staff, and seeing the changes on the ground, especially the kids’ smiles, was a powerful reminder of why we do this. npub10n84zrtwuee397akzqpsgrhrvjn4afvlpxugzpx43lvdgccm0u5sut9yjc khweinewelt Our children in Argentina are once again rehearsing their annual Christmas play at the Hogar Germán Frers daycare center. After weeks of practice and festive decorating, they’ll perform the traditional story in front of many familiar faces. One of our team members is spending the season there and witnessing how much joy and meaning this time brings to the kids. npub10n84zrtwuee397akzqpsgrhrvjn4afvlpxugzpx43lvdgccm0u5sut9yjc khweinewelt Our picture of the month comes directly from our project in Ecuador again: the PADE day center. During christmas time, they do not only crafts, sing, and laugh together at PADE; the center also fulfills heartfelt wishes for the children. npub10n84zrtwuee397akzqpsgrhrvjn4afvlpxugzpx43lvdgccm0u5sut9yjc khweinewelt 🇪🇨⚡ In one of Quito’s poorest neighbourhoods, PADE (Para dar esperanza, meaning “to give hope”) runs an after-school centre where kids come after class instead of being on the streets: they get homework support, a safe place to just be children, and for many it’s the only warm meal of their day. Beyond food and schoolwork, the children get emotional support, creative workshops and time with teachers and a psychologist. Parents are included in trainings so home becomes safer and more stable too. A small local team has been there for more than ten years and knows the families by name. npub10n84zrtwuee397akzqpsgrhrvjn4afvlpxugzpx43lvdgccm0u5sut9yjc khweinewelt Who are we? We’re a team of dedicated international people united by one mission: to make sure children receive support where it’s needed most. npub10n84zrtwuee397akzqpsgrhrvjn4afvlpxugzpx43lvdgccm0u5sut9yjc khweinewelt 🇲🇱 Mali still has one of the world’s highest infant mortality rates. Too many children don’t reach their first birthday - but the trend is improving. Thanks to expanded vaccination, maternal care, clean water, and community health programs, child deaths have fallen significantly in recent years. Evidence-based, community-led development saves lives - and continued support accelerates the decline. npub10n84zrtwuee397akzqpsgrhrvjn4afvlpxugzpx43lvdgccm0u5sut9yjc khweinewelt HEALTH FROM THE START – In Mali, medical care is often out of reach, especially in rural areas. At the health center we built in Sébénikoro, families receive the support they need: preventive checkups, vaccinations, and medical advice. npub10n84zrtwuee397akzqpsgrhrvjn4afvlpxugzpx43lvdgccm0u5sut9yjc khweinewelt Education is the cornerstone of a self-determined life. With your support, an increasing number of children can be given this opportunity. Zap now for education in Rwanda. npub10n84zrtwuee397akzqpsgrhrvjn4afvlpxugzpx43lvdgccm0u5sut9yjc khweinewelt Your zaps count - wheher its a one-time donation or support on a regular basis. You can make difference for kids in Argentina! Donate now, and help where it is needed the most. npub10n84zrtwuee397akzqpsgrhrvjn4afvlpxugzpx43lvdgccm0u5sut9yjc khweinewelt Thank you for connecting us to this project! We'll have a look at it shortly. npub10n84zrtwuee397akzqpsgrhrvjn4afvlpxugzpx43lvdgccm0u5sut9yjc khweinewelt Curious to learn about our projects in Argentina? Our Argentine partner regularly organizes cooking workshops for children. The children mainly learn how to prepare everyday meals and classic Argentine dishes. From time to time, sweets are prepared, much to the delight of the children. npub10n84zrtwuee397akzqpsgrhrvjn4afvlpxugzpx43lvdgccm0u5sut9yjc khweinewelt WASH 💧 In Devitar, a small village in Nepal, children learn in our WASH workshops how important hygiene is in everyday life. From brushing their teeth to washing their hands properly. 🇳🇵 Together with our partner organization Shanti Griha, we are laying the foundations for health, prevention, and a better future in remote regions of Nepal. npub10n84zrtwuee397akzqpsgrhrvjn4afvlpxugzpx43lvdgccm0u5sut9yjc khweinewelt Happy Bitcoin Whitepaper Day! 🎉🥳 npub10n84zrtwuee397akzqpsgrhrvjn4afvlpxugzpx43lvdgccm0u5sut9yjc khweinewelt Pic of the month 📸🇪🇨 A moment full of trust and security: a girl hugs her caregiver at our partner organization PADE in Ecuador. npub10n84zrtwuee397akzqpsgrhrvjn4afvlpxugzpx43lvdgccm0u5sut9yjc khweinewelt ANNUAL REPORT 2024 – Our 2024 Annual Report is out! 🎉 npub10n84zrtwuee397akzqpsgrhrvjn4afvlpxugzpx43lvdgccm0u5sut9yjc khweinewelt FREE WEBINAR (in German) - Have you planned ahead yet, for yourself and the people you love? npub10n84zrtwuee397akzqpsgrhrvjn4afvlpxugzpx43lvdgccm0u5sut9yjc khweinewelt Kinderhilfswerk Eine Welt e.V. joined the 3rd #BitcoinForum in Ingolstadt – with 3,093 attendees, it was the largest German-speaking Bitcoin conference ever.
