it’s been horrible! My husband didn’t shovel a great path last storm. My old girl keeps getting stuck in the backyard. We have to rescue her Everytime she goes out there. She just freezes up and sits down and waits for us to come get her. Total nightmare. Even my youngest and most agile one is having issues.

I had the pleasure of meeting two men today, both arborists, who absolutely love their jobs.
It was striking, the passion and enthusiasm they showed.
Unfortunately, my 100 year old Copper Beech tree has the untreatable Beech Leaf Disease.
This tree is a monster, with an 8 foot diameter. It’s going to require a crane and logging truck to remove it.
I’m not sure who was more upset, me or them.
I received a PHD of information on the disease today, and all things tree related.

So the power company comes through every 6 years to trim trees back.
You must give them permission to do this.
They hack your trees, looks horrible after. However, it prevents fires and outages.
All of my neighbors, 3 in a row so far.
They decided to have them remove the trees entirely.
Makes me sad they are removing healthy trees.
Also, it’s free removal, but no stump grinding, and the trunk of the tree is chopped up and left on your front lawn. Going to be an eyesore for awhile.
