tldr: bitcoin is freedom, bitcoin is dope!
fr though... a note on bitcoin's power usage in re: the section on bitcoin's critics; recently read that more than 50% of bitcoin's energy usage is now from renewables, up from about 35% half a decade ago. also, gaming worldwide uses more power than does the bitcoin network, while refrigerating food worldwide uses 6-8 X's the amount of power it takes to power bitcoin, and global coffee-making uses 2.5-4X's the amount that bitcoin uses.
wish i had saved the sources for those stats, but they were kept in my notes from a recent discussion with a friend. great article btw.
