I need to write more. I've got ideas but no motivation at the moment.
Until then, all my fanfic stuff (mostly Veilguard currently, though I want to write more Baldurs Gate stuff too) is all here:

Alas, I have figured out I have a dairy intolerance. So, gonna have to cut out cheese...my one weakness!
Pretty much going like, mostly vegan at this point.
So, any #vegan friends got good food ideas/websites/recommendations for a recovering cheese-holic?

You cannot "self care" your way out of systemic institutional discrimination.
Workplace "wellbeing" initiatives exist to shift the blame from the corporation to the individual.
They are a scam designed to make us feel inadequate for breaking under a system designed to break us.

Wanted to go out for wine, and wear my new dress.
Had a panic attack and dysphoria breakdown in the bathroom.
Went in jeans and a baggy t-shirt instead.
This is the effect of constant bombardment of transphobia. It steals our joy.
Y'know I'd love to post about trans joy and gender euphoria but mostly all I feel is fear. So well done bigots, you win.

Today's scaaaaary trans agenda with me and @npub1s5s…s3hv :
- build some IKEA bookcases
- sort out some old books and stuff
- play Veilguard
- go out for a glass of wine
Yeah, I can see why people are so afraid of us...

Trans women are women.
I don't need a piece of paper, a court ruling, or a government to tell me who I am.
#TransWomenAreWomen.
With or without your permission.

2025-04-16 10:33:22 GMT

- reply

well, they ruled that trans women aren't women. So there's that.
I have an illegal gender.

2025-04-16 08:47:10 GMT

Oh good. The supreme court is going to decide if trans women are legally women today, and it's not looking like it's going in our favour.
Fuck them.
I'm an illegal woman.
Fucking arrest me. Try it.

It's a big game and can get overwhelming, so I definitely recommend breaking it up into small achievable things. When your characters need a long rest, take one yourself!
But it is soooooo good though!

2025-04-10 07:56:43 GMT

Same for the longest time - I just didn't have patience for long games until Baldurs Gate 3 which grabbed me because of the story and characters. Dragon Age Veilguard (not as long as BG3 but still 80+ hours if you do the side quests) is the same.
If a game is long and repetitive, filled with fetch quests and not much plot I lose interest quickly, but a well-crafted story will keep me hooked.
I still like to play in short sessions, a couple hours at a time, which helps break the long games up into "chapters" and make them feel less like a slog.

This post is in part a disclaimer to state that I will never use AI in my creative pursuits, but it turned into a bit of a manifesto in which I wax poetic about art in general and why I oppose AI with all my being.
AI defenders, don't @ me. Just block me and save me the effort.

Have I done anything creative today? Nope.
Have I relaxed today?
Also nope.
Have I sat at work bored out of my mind waiting for the end of the day just so I can collapse on a sofa and fall asleep?
Yep.
Work is a scam. We should all be free to write, draw, sing, dance, create and enjoy the beauty of life. Not sit at a computer in a nearly empty building checking emails for 8 hours.

2025-04-04 13:56:13 GMT

Had a full on panic attack at the price of the weekly grocery shop.
I'm not exaggerating.
I grew up poor - like, poor poor, and didn't always have food. This just brought back a lot of trauma, even though I'm in a much better place financially now.
The phrase "cost of living" is a fucking abomination. Something needs to change.

Apropos of nothing, find joy in life, ok? And it doesn't have to be big and spectacular. It can be garden birds, pretty clouds, a cup of tea, a good book, a favourite game played for the ninth time. Whatever brings you joy is real, and meaningful, and important.
