My fav part of #nostr / #plebstr is that there isn’t a “For you” tab feeding your brain with garbage trying to keep your attention so they can sell more ads. And, the timeline feed is sorted by date.

In a world filled with deception, trust becomes elusive. Media raises doubts, and the path seems to lead to uncertainty. Yet, amidst the gloom, hope persists. ₿

Reddit is sunsetting its Rewards feature, which will be replaced by something new. Will they be using #bitcoin? 😂
Zaps are much more satisfying to send and receive than Reddit coins.
Also, I’ve been wondering if Apple is forcing them to use Apple Pay to reward content creation, just like they did with all Nostr apps.

ChatGPT seems very slow today. And, it does not responde if the iOS app is on background mode.

Hide the zap button behind a feature flag. 😂

I see, it is showing on other clients as well.

2023-07-08 20:58:32 GMT

Just hide the button while they review the app. Put a flag behind some API to display the button or not. It should be easy like that. 😉

Apple asked Damus to remove the tipping feature from the posts, because it wasn’t following their guidelines.
I migrated to Peblstr on iOS. Performance seems better and they still have the tipping feature enabled.
You can find the list of clients here: https://nostr.com/clients

True. I’m sad that this feature had to be removed from the posts.

It sounds silly but as a developer I’m just trying to share how I managed to get around some of their nonsense rules.
I also had a few calls with them a few years ago. Did you ask to escalate? I remember that the first person that I spoke couldn’t do much they were going to take to their team for further discussion. Also; the person didn’t know much about crypto.
After two calls, I requested to escalate the issue to their manager, and the app was approved again.
I never had any issues publishing new versions going forward.

2023-06-27 08:01:53 GMT

Have you tried escalating the situation? Most of people that work on the Apple’s review process don’t have a lot of context nor permission, they are almost bots. Apple has given exceptions in the past for me because I pointed out that other apps were doing something similar and they would have to take them down as well.

2023-06-27 03:37:53 GMT

Nah, so many companies do that.
Apple just sucks.

2023-06-27 03:26:51 GMT

Just put the if condition on the source code for when Apple is validating the new app version. This way they won’t see the zap buttons.

Will should had hidden the button while the Apple verify the app. Many players in the industry does that.
