Pointed some hash power to Ocean last night to see how BOLT12 payouts will work. Looks like two blocks were mined since then. Looking forward to the 70 sats my two #bitaxe and Avalon Nano worked for with their ~5 TH 😂

I’m almost at 5 TH/s with my #Bitaxe s and Avalon Nano, and excited to see the continued innovation used to create better and better at-home miners! Such an exciting space!

Avalon Nano Update: So far, it’s been a nice plug and play miner to have! Extremely easy to set up. Currently getting over 2 TH/s on low power mode. I’ve heard issues of the PSU getting extremely hot, but so far it’s not too bad on low power mode. Will update as I increase the hashrate! 🫡

New #BitAxe acquired! This time from @npub1k8s…6y88. Threw a Noctua fan on it and now it’s quiet enough to keep in my office 😆. Feels good to be over 1 TH/s. It even matches my HRF Freedom Mints from Pubkey!

All that hashrate sounds nice for the price, so that’s good to hear it’s not too hot to have around

2024-06-25 20:57:17 GMT

How’s the heat coming out of the Avalon Nano? They said it’s also a heater; wondering how hot it will be in a room during the summer 😅

2024-06-25 20:49:47 GMT

- reply

Since the hashrate is pretty low, it’s my understanding that these won’t be profitable for a very long time considering the cost of the Bitaxe and minimal amount of sats you’ll get from joining a pool. Might be best to use it as a lottery ticket and just run it solo for fun 🙂

2024-06-25 20:23:46 GMT

- reply

Definitely a bummer, but a nice learning experience to try and fix it! Luckily the display and everything works great. Since the fan is busted, it just gets hot really quick 🥵

2024-06-25 19:52:36 GMT

Update: Fan on Bitaxe isn’t working 😔 Looks like when the fan was screwed into the heat sync, the blue wire got caught underneath and the connection was severed. Going to tinker around with it, but have a new fan on the way later this week, just in case. Still super exciting to play around with!
