One of the strangest experiences I’ve had was walking side-by-side with 3 women, using our dowsing rods, walking across dozens of graves, looking away from the headstones, and having our rods move in synch, showing grave edges and male or female, confirmed by a person walking behind us and only looking at the name after we said our result. We got them all correct! 🤯

Last weekend I was in a medium-sized town an hour west of KC and asked a small group of new acquaintances if AGS was very prevalent in their area. Two of the four people said an immediate family member had recently been diagnosed.
About 5-10% of us with AGS are airborne reactive. Imagine if just 5% of a large portion of the US population was deadly allergic to the smell of all mammal foods…

@nprofile…j83d -- when training a dog to recall ("Come!"), it's often suggested that many dogs need a moment to think about what has been said and then decide how to respond, especially in early training before the desired behavior becomes more consistent/ingrained, and especially with the more independent-minded breeds. I see it bigtime in our essentially free-range livestock guardian dogs.
This is very interesting information to factor into that equation... 🧐

One odd thing is that as I'm scrolling through a page, the lines of text have obvious white "tracers" below them.
The pics show other things that aren't looking right:
- Guidelines in InDesign are usually easy to see; now they're extremely thin. Weirdly, after I snipped this screenshot and was resizing the snipping window on my screen, the lines briefly look normal/thicker while I'm resizing the window.
- All text is too thin; easily noticed in the top, left corner of a lowercase "e".

👋 Help!!
My monitor is messed up and I can't figure out how to fix it. (And I have graphic design work to do today. :P)
Mircosoft's "Movie's & TV" app glitched yesterday while I was trimming a video: the system froze, monitor went blank and then was covered with chaotic horizontal colored lines. I power-cycled the monitor and it came back looking...wrong. (Explanation below.)
I've tried restarting everything, checked and messed with all the settings, etc. All those seem normal. Ideas to fix??

@nprofile…sf0l — it helped me when an experienced trainer reminded me that it takes about a year for a new pet to fully integrate into the household. And I heard from someone here on NAS that it takes at least three months before a rescue begins to relax enough that you see their true personality.
Keeping those longer timelines in mind sure helped me manage my expectations with our newest livestock guardian dog.
Wishing you good fortune and God’s speed as your dogs learn to coexist. :D

As a young teen, I took a puppetry summer workshop and one day we were encouraged to try holding our hands in the air for as long as possible. It turned into a fun competition to see who could last the longest. At one point it became almost unbearably painful, then the pain would come and go in waves. None of us made it to two hours. And then finally putting your arms down was also very painful.

But, Glory to God, every step I've taken into the Orthodox Church has produced amazing fruits in my life and grounded my belief on first-hand experiences of the salvific Mysteries of God. :)

@nprofile…fexr -- ...whether or not individuals outside the Church can be saved, since only God knows someone's soul, conscience, repentant heart and relationship with Him. And in His all-knowing wisdom and power, God can unite people to the Body of Christ through extra-normative means.
So it is not for me to judge the current state/trajectory of Scott Adam's soul. Only God can judge/discern that.
I can only say that I believe the Orthodox Christian Church, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit...

My opinion is based on my feeble understanding, as a neophyte/newb Orthodox Christian, that Jesus Christ established the Holy Church, with its mysteries, sacraments and traditions, including the canon of Holy Scripture, and it provides the most effective tools and direct way to be reunited with God. Since Scott was on a much different path, it seems very unlikely he will end up at the same destination.
