I love being able to cook, tastes even better when you realise how many people won't because they're that lazy.

I knew it, I knew the Greens would win, socialists doubling down on socialism because it's not just the muslims voting for them, they're in it to stop anyone 'right wing' out of spite.
Want more data to confirm though because I suspect there's going to be a heavy swing among women to the Greens and that's why I'm noping the fuck out of the country.

Just to doompost a bit more about the UK, it really has gone full dictatorship over here. I may need to research it a bit more but aside from trying to get rid of jury's ( yes I'm not joking ) They're wanting to also tack on the ability for courts to give people maximum 2 year jail sentences.
This means if the police decide to take you in over a social media post or even standing out of the way at a protest you could be looking at 2 years in jail just because they don't like you, completely arbitrary. They are likely laying the legal groundwork for dealing with any unrest incidents this year especially when the weather warms up.
Living here just isn't feasible for anyone with a functioning brain.

Looking at the Windows 11 problems I still have my suspicions about people being normie retards and not admitting it:
. They clearly don't know how to setup a local account ( Yes it's still possible in Windows 11 )
. They bitch about sign in pestering that can be bypassed
. Terrible at messing with settings and quite tech illiterate ( A lot of them have the default appearance enabled as an example, you can make it behave like Windows 10 and move the icon to the left )
. They're installing debloat software they downloaded from a suspicious source on github ( Likely Indian ) which is probably the main cause of the BSODs but they won't admit this
. Don't have any understanding of BIOS settings despite playing themselves off as 'gamers' and they should understand now that modern multiplayer games are invasive as fuck when it comes to anti-cheat which is why they pester about secure boot settings
. Running on ancient Windows 10 OS systems and fucked themselves because they didn't upgrade not only their OS but their PC early enough before the RAM and SSD shortage like I did
And these people are trying to make it out they're going to hop onto Linux and everything will work fine for them LOL. Half their shit is going to break on Linux too because they'll have no idea what they're doing so they'll probably end up dual booting anyway. Or it will be classic Linux compatibility issues.
Kids today didn't grow out the womb like I did using MS-DOS prompts and 56k connections.

We've had this problem in the UK for decades as well. Even third world connections generally have faster speeds than us. I was extremely lucky and some indie company came along and has been supplying proper fibre broadband at last and I immediately switched and didn't look back.
Now the broadband companies are slowly playing catch up which is hilarious, they've been ripping this country off for years. The worse one by far is Virgin Media, they're about as bad as the US equivalent of Comcast. They frequently oversell their broadband and throttle their speeds causing all kinds of problems, I hate virgin media with a passion.
I'm so fucking glad I don't have to deal with that shit anymore. Never ever support the broadband companies if you can pick a different option which is one of the beautiful things about Starlink.

My ultimate fantasy mobile setup would be something like Starlink + Steam Deck + Mini Projector. You could even get ridiculous with it maybe and have some kind of easy to assemble canvas for the projector to get a nice clear picture.
Edit: As it turns out yes they have those lol.

Starlink is something I'm seriously considering depending on where I move abroad. Would happily pay for it even if it's a tad on the higher end depending on the package.
You have to bear in mind you can have Starlink pretty much anywhere and it won't be a problem. There have been people who have filmed themselves going camping in the middle of nowhere having their Starlink connection on which is wild to me and blows my 90's era brain.
Would love to make my millions ( Or not even that much ) with game dev and fuck off like that.

I mean some of it's going to be funny, because all these smug pricks who have main character syndrome and thought they were going to be immune are going to get laid off hard. I do feel sorry for the ones that are just trying to do the right thing though. So many of them are going to be out of the office with cardboard boxes and potentially homeless because they got a mortgage on a house well beyond their means. They got lied to hard about university in particular and a lot of them know it I think, it's the smug ones that are going to be hit hardest because they still cling to I have a university degree superiority.
It's going to be like what everyone saw in the 2008 sup-prime mortgage crisis but infinitely worse because people have been jacking up credit on everything now.

2025-12-28 01:21:06 GMT

To go on a mini-tangent Christmas has made me realise just how unbelievably out of touch normies are about the state of the economy. On the flip side, it makes me realise how ahead of the curve I am.
Job security is non-existent, you either live it yourself being one of the unlucky ones or you study the economy and can see it unfolding before your eyes how pointless it all is. The days of getting a 9 to 5 and thinking you're going to be able to pay off a mortgage with just that are fucking gone nevermind the bills on top of it.
The normies don't get it at all and think that anybody who tries to work outside that system is just an unemployed NEET loser and doesn't understand the concept of freelance work, remote work or projects etc. or the fact that the internet is an amazing educational resource in the right hands.
Right or left, they do this larp about being progressive and open minded but a good chunk of them are some of the most close minded tradition obsessed people around and they sneer at anyone different. Universities are a classic example where they think you have to be like them and get 80k - 100k in debt to get anywhere in life. If you don't do the same thing as them it's like they're out on a mission to try and make your life miserable with lecturing.
They have no idea how wrong they're going to be. No one who actually values themselves and has the skill is going to work for some psychopath until they're 60 only to be fired before they can collect their pension and help the CEO buy their 4th Lamborghini.
TLDR: Red pilled people don't understand that they're about 10 - 15 years ahead of the game. Prepare accordingly for the mother of all financial crashes because there are tons of people who seriously believe it won't happen.

Nah, just in typical fashion the south in the UK is fucking expensive when it comes to anything. Then there's the issue of getting there on top of it all, very annoying. I'd much rather do a connection flight to some hub in the EU than deal with the crap of London Heathrow or Gatwick.
The price of a train ticket to London alone is retarded.

2025-12-23 22:42:52 GMT

I like doing lots of planning sometimes for the future and one of the things I've done is devised a route out of the UK to Asia generally. Best part about it is I can completely avoid London which I hate, also ends up saving me money generally.

I do think you're at least correct about the party system being switched up big time. I've just seen some results from a couple of by-elections and I think this is the real reason they're lashing out. Early general election? I'm very mixed, I think if may is extremely bad they might well get desperate.
Could well be wishful thinking on my part, I can't stand dealing with this right now. Maybe, maybe if it's catastrophically bad they'll get rid of him. However I think a far more likely scenario is they're that batshit insane they may end up just cancelling everything altogether.
I do mean of course going full stasi because the British population keeps proving they will put up with whatever and cuck themselves at every opportunity.
Either way, social media bans are retarded, governments trying to be parents and boomers waking up one morning thinking they can police the internet.

That's all down to parenting, this is nothing more than an attempted doxxing operation. It's quite clever in a way because like a lot of this online shit it's the "Think of the children" meme and it works. This is about as useful as going "Let's ban video games for under 16's" and then they're handing them tablets and phones to go zombie over and wondering why it doesn't work.
Think about it, why do you think they want you to upload your personal ID in order to get verified? Just another case of mommy and daddy can't be bothered so let's have the government do it instead.
I truly hate my country these days this is why I think even if Nigel Farage gets in the population is going to cuck itself. Also it's absolutely because they're trying to stop teenagers from being red pilled by Andrew Tate. This is boomers desperately trying to get a handle on the zoomer generation, they're scared of them being too right wing.

I am somebody with a fair bit of experience developing video games so you can ask me about this lol. Also I would not recommend at all necessarily writing something from scratch either, that creates extra headaches and all you're doing is re-inventing the wheel.
Why not use something like Raylib instead?

This is extremely long, but it illustrates another reason why owning a car in the UK will probably not be worth it. I have to wonder if this is part of the real reason they're jacking up car insurance costs in particular, it's to force drivers off the road.
TLDR: They're desperately trying to phase out petrol and diesel cars from the country and don't give two shits about the consequences.

2025-11-27 06:36:50 GMT

Main TLDR conclusions so far of the budget:
. Tax increases that even the media can't defend and they're all Blairite Labour types who love the party. They just came out and admitted, yeah, we're all being taxed more
. Massive expansion of the welfare state
. Digital ID implementation
. Blame Conservatives for everything ( Yes that was most of Rachel Reeves' speech I'm not joking lol )
. More defence spending
At least I don't have to look at the fucking news anymore to know what's going on, that's nice. I thought about it as well and remembered if there is a general election I'll get the polling card through the mail anyway.
You guys in America in particular, if you think the boomer population is insufferable. It's interesting how across the political spectrum there's general agreement we are essentially held hostage by pensioners in this country.
They want their gibs from the pension ponzi scheme and they don't care how many generations they have to bankrupt in order to do it. When they're all finally dead there will be no pension pot left and the younger generations dumb enough to stay in the country are going to be left picking up the pieces.
Another reason for mass migration by the way is there's this definite attitude by the elderly of young people being 'layabouts' so they want migrants to do all the jobs including nursing lol. Yeah, good fucking luck with that.

I'll refrain from showing the articles in huge amounts of detail because it really is a load of bullshit. The left are in a delusional state here in the UK so it's not wonder everything is starting to crumble I just wish it would happen faster.
They really don't understand how much right wingers hate the Conservatives for being such cucks and keep bringing up Boris Johnson when he is one of the most hated right wing politicians in the country because of what he did with covid and making th mass migration even worse.
They call it the Boris Wave for a reason which shows you how completely insulated the leftists are from reality and they don't understand this is why Reform are winning by default. They're also trying to force us to rejoin the EU and make concessions on migration to those fucks.
It's funny as well because one of the stupid journalists posted their anti-Brexit rant and they admitted the Conservatives aren't even a factor anymore in the elections.

2025-10-16 11:08:24 GMT

So not only is Keir Starmer a typical WEF sellout politician that loves Davos more than he does his own country and not only has there been quite a few tax related scandals happening within his cabinet. He's now potentially a dirty traitor on top of it and could well be involved in a spying scandal.
Leaders have been ousted for less than this, so he must have dirt on everyone in the Labour Party since he's part of the inner circle. I also think as well though even if the Labour MPs really wanted to get rid of him, they're probably terrified of the Reform Party polling and don't want so many of the shitty policies they've introduced rolled back by Nigel Farage.
Not holding my breath on anything happening this year because of this, but seeing what happens in the next few months is going to make a lot of life choices for me. The UK is very much becoming unliveable because even in the best case scenario we are being absolutely choked here by taxes and cost of living.
Rachel Reeves is also shitting herself because all the economics groups are starting to downgrade the UK big time because shocker cost of living keeps going up and the mass migration keeps spiking government spending which the Labour party refuse to acknowledge as a problem.

2025-10-13 18:21:36 GMT

I would not be shocked if that's what was going on, so tinfoil hat moment but I think that the whole 'StopTheBoats' campaign was a calculated move on Keir Starmer's part to make it look like he was doing something about illegal migration. Then in typical WEF politician fashion he's going to speedrun importing foreigners, Indians in particular. Which is why he's trying to attack anybody on the right with the 'these policies are racist' angle.
They have such a fucking hard on for Indians, I know they love their cheap labour and everything but it's all completely retarded.

2025-09-15 15:29:49 GMT

On the flip side, it is going to be incredibly easy to break into the games industry at this rate as an indie. These stupid studios can't help themselves and them actively being hostile and gaslighting their own playerbase isn't going to help them stay in business.

Comparing the two I would say that making use of facial capture and 3D animation with 3D only scenes is likely the more consistent option overall.
This almost makes green screen quite obsolete because with this option you always have to do so much tweaking to the lighting among other things to get it looking half-decent. With a full 3D scene the lighting and everything else calculates correctly.

Steam reviews are a hot mess when it comes to any kind of discussion about optimisation these days. In fact it seems most of the internet is, you've got to sort out the retards who are trying to run AAA level titles on 1060 GPUs from ones who are genuinely having problems on good PCs.
If I was completely anal about this I would make it so they have to post their specs up before they can write anything about a game. There are some absolute dribblers who are complaining about game performance on 1060's and 3060's which is completely retarded.
I hate them for making me defend corpos because apparently there are people who are having problems with these games that are on good PCs.

When you really break down what Hollywood does it's not just the cringe they insert into everything that makes it so boring it's the visual effects as well.
Yeah, some of it looks pretty flashy and I'm sure that's why the normies like it at the end of the day but these days even an amateur with a decent PC can conjure up those kinds of effects quite easily. This is why I decry it as visual effects slop, I wouldn't be shocked given how similar everything looks that they're using some kind of internal effects library they've put together.

It's the fucking councils, they are universally recognised in this country for being a bunch of time wasting, scummy, corrupt and useless people who will always get in the way of someone trying to do something genuinely good in the community.
I hate local councils.

This makes way too much sense, so we all knew that mass migration was a massive scam operated by the elites to lower costs and make them more money. However it seems that the operation is far more extensive than people including myself realised.
Bit of a breakdown for foreigners who don't realise how deep this scam is going.
. £100 a week or higher dependent on shifts, allegedly going up to £250+
. Since they're housed in 'asylum hotels' they do not have to pay any living costs it's all provided for by the government
. As the government is providing everything, this means they can save up for flash cars in particular which explains why they have the time to race these things on the street at 11:00pm despite being 'migrant workers'
. Money laundering operations are out in the open in this country, this makes it incredibly likely they're probably going to be shifting drugs using the delivery apps the same way as in America
. Police look the other way on purpose unlike in America with ICE, possibly being paid off via drug money or just scared of being called racist migrants are probably raking in thousands in tax free income as a result
. WEF propaganda about the far right and racism is all a cover up tactic and they're all in on it, alternatively the people who don't know about the rampant crime are useful idiots that live in white only neighbourhoods and are never exposed to this
It's an incredibly elaborate and interesting scam that they're running lol. Oh and don't get me started on the massive payouts the scumbag hotel owners are getting for essentially doing nothing.
The rape gangs and sexual assaults seem to be not necessarily an organised effort but a massive side effect from the actual rape culture being imported in by the Pakistani migrants in particular. The white liberals that defend this are likely only exposed to middle class migrants which is why they insist on suicidal empathy.

Holy autism batman.

On the flip side I am getting much better at using the UE5 interface and organising my projects, I understand the GUI stuff better now too.

2025-09-13 13:58:36 GMT

At a bit of a wall and need to go into one of my programming trances today I think so I'll probably fiddle around with inventory stuff again to stay productive. It's going to be nice when I don't have this shit to deal with.

2025-09-13 13:32:59 GMT

M0ar playtesting for by the gods today, got to solve these bugs.

Actual crash out moment, I'm switching insurance policy and finding an insurance company with a website that fucking works.

2025-09-12 19:48:33 GMT

If there isn't enough of a reason to hate insurance companies there's always the fucking predictably archaic and stupid systems they use for billing payments because they can't just be normal like other sectors.
Almost as bad as government websites.

2025-09-12 18:53:42 GMT

Oh this is such an annoying bug.

2025-09-12 18:44:17 GMT

Having to really delve into the breeding code now, leave no stone unturned.

Ahhh hang on, I was having this happen to me as well just now.

2025-09-12 16:26:26 GMT

Yay! Found the bug, as it turns out the population limit code is happening correctly, however it seems that when the limit is hit somewhere that's where I'm having problems. Now that's an annoying bug to search for.

2025-09-12 16:08:55 GMT

In fact yes christ it was probably an execution issue which is why it wasn't a bug that was happening consistently as well.

2025-09-12 15:55:31 GMT

Been trying out these stretches like the butterfly press and I knew I had a flexibility problem but damn. I need to figure out how to do it all consistently now without injuring myself over the long term. It's my thighs in particular that I struggle with keeping my leg out straight and it explains so much, the good thing is it can apparently all be fixed, wish I had looked this up earlier.

I have to live among the shitlibs RL and even the milquetoast ones are all like this because they don't understand how protected by the establishment they are that they can spew off the way they do.

2025-09-12 15:03:18 GMT

Now I'm getting into it again! Have a break, come back fresh, going to be poking at this population limit code because I know for a fact now that's where the problem is. I have to comb through it though line by line and make sure things are executing correctly.

Projector technology has come such a long way, for my mobile setup I'm probably going to have a steam deck + mini projector of some kind. Get that all connected after a flight and even in the most basic hotel I'll be sorted, fantastic.

2025-09-12 14:31:13 GMT

On more positive stuff I tried out the wireless feature for my controller. Seems like the wireless adapter is the way to go and it worked really well after I set it up.
Was able to have a banjo and kazooie session on my second monitor which Retroarch makes dead easy to set up, just drag it over and full screen it. From a comfort perspective, I absolutely get why console gamers like that sort of thing, you can just as easily get it setup on the PC nowadays if you take the time to work it out.
Proper controller ftw.

One thing I've learned about British politics, it doesn't matter what the politicians do to the public at the end of the day, they will get a golden parachute out of there if worse comes to worse. It's always major scandals among themselves that end up breaking their hold over the government.
This is what happened with the Conservatives, it's now happening to Labour with Peter Mandelson and his relationship with Epstein. Keir Starmer was more than happy to defend Angela Rayner with her tax shenanigans. I thought it might be Palestine that would do it because the activists are completely batshit but it seems no it's personal scandals every time.
This explains why the politicians have such a hard on for covering up rape gangs. The police are involved and I would not be shocked if politicians were involved in some kind of pedo shit to some extent as well.
We need the military to come in and arrest these people and have them all investigated, end of, that's how bad the corruption is here.

When it comes to the Israeli glowies I completely understand why people hate this guy, even just with this summary he comes across as a massive cunt.

2025-09-12 13:34:45 GMT

Oh that feels nice to delete commented and obsolete code.

2025-09-12 13:25:24 GMT

Turns out I needed a lot of rest today and I got it so I'm feeling so much more refreshed now. Got a plan, going to be focusing on debugging today, will be poking at that bit of code that's annoying the fuck out of me and see if I can't get it permanently fixed.
I already know that my construction site code is working fine and assigning itself all correctly so I can scratch that off the list so now I need to figure out what's going on with this bit.

2025-09-11 14:51:03 GMT

Jesus christ these contracted remaster devs are the fucking worse. There are ancient game breaking bugs that are still popping up and the fucking retards never bothered to fix anything.
Oh that's fucking annoying.

In every instance it's always shit heads posting whatever bullshit they like ( Including supposed friends of the victim ). For the sake of sanity it's best to just ignore the fuck out of it for a week or maybe even two and then all of the information will have come out properly.
I know this is the nature of the internet these days but the keyword farmers really disgust me when it comes to the lengths they go to they're just as bad as the tabloids we have in the UK. Naturally the second Charlie Kirk is dead they're just going to spam posts with the name to get clicks.
Bit of a random tangent but aside from a few of the OGs I regard many of the current crop of online faggots as internet tourists just out to make some fast cash and then duck out.

Yep, I look at that happening every where in the corpo sphere and I'm like nah, no thanks. I think the worse one though is seeing videos and comments about guys who are clearly working for the paychecks of other do-nothing DEI hires.
Credit thieves and scammers are everywhere in the workforce.

2025-09-11 10:35:39 GMT

One thing I will post about this whole ongoing shitshow is there's no helping pacifists. They've got main character syndrome like a lot of people and think they'll never be harmed. They don't realise that they're just the next on the list and it isn't their turn yet.
Just got annoyed by one of these idiots on the youtube comments page but I should be used to normies posting that crap now. Does this mean we should resort to being savages? No, but I am definitely not going to keep pretending that the left aren't creating an environment for people to attack their political opponents on a whim.

2025-09-11 10:26:00 GMT

Okay peoples' expectations of what something 'good' is are really fucking low, way lower than I've been thinking. I've seen people mentioning Andor and I looked at the trailer and what the actual fuck? This is what people consider 'good' now?
. They somehow managed to remove everything iconic about Star Wars except the Stormtroopers, TIE Fighters and X-Wings
. Everything 'new' in the trailer looked incredibly generic despite it being 'Star Wars'
. Music was completely fucking off, I hate this trend of putting modern music in what should be a space opera style title, it's just more ways that corporations are cutting corners in production because they won't pay for an orchestra the cheap fucks
. It's like they turned Star Wars into this cheap PG-13 movie experience complete with all these silly overused quips and quirky moments when the whole theme of Star Wars was basically it was an epic sci-fi opera
These fucking corpos know nothing about what makes a decent experience and the opinions of normies should always be ignored.

2025-09-11 09:23:46 GMT

Fuck this glowie shit has me grumpy and paranoid, probably a good time to finish Banjo and Kazooie properly and start a new classic title.

2025-09-11 09:20:41 GMT

Woops misread the title badly on that express article, still waking up. Then again I'm sure there's going to be some false flag event going on again since people aren't as riled up about Ukraine at the moment as the elites want them to be.
