Just to doompost a bit more about the UK, it really has gone full dictatorship over here. I may need to research it a bit more but aside from trying to get rid of jury's ( yes I'm not joking ) They're wanting to also tack on the ability for courts to give people maximum 2 year jail sentences.
This means if the police decide to take you in over a social media post or even standing out of the way at a protest you could be looking at 2 years in jail just because they don't like you, completely arbitrary. They are likely laying the legal groundwork for dealing with any unrest incidents this year especially when the weather warms up.
Living here just isn't feasible for anyone with a functioning brain.

Looking at the Windows 11 problems I still have my suspicions about people being normie retards and not admitting it:
. They clearly don't know how to setup a local account ( Yes it's still possible in Windows 11 )
. They bitch about sign in pestering that can be bypassed
. Terrible at messing with settings and quite tech illiterate ( A lot of them have the default appearance enabled as an example, you can make it behave like Windows 10 and move the icon to the left )
. They're installing debloat software they downloaded from a suspicious source on github ( Likely Indian ) which is probably the main cause of the BSODs but they won't admit this
. Don't have any understanding of BIOS settings despite playing themselves off as 'gamers' and they should understand now that modern multiplayer games are invasive as fuck when it comes to anti-cheat which is why they pester about secure boot settings
. Running on ancient Windows 10 OS systems and fucked themselves because they didn't upgrade not only their OS but their PC early enough before the RAM and SSD shortage like I did
And these people are trying to make it out they're going to hop onto Linux and everything will work fine for them LOL. Half their shit is going to break on Linux too because they'll have no idea what they're doing so they'll probably end up dual booting anyway. Or it will be classic Linux compatibility issues.
Kids today didn't grow out the womb like I did using MS-DOS prompts and 56k connections.

We've had this problem in the UK for decades as well. Even third world connections generally have faster speeds than us. I was extremely lucky and some indie company came along and has been supplying proper fibre broadband at last and I immediately switched and didn't look back.
Now the broadband companies are slowly playing catch up which is hilarious, they've been ripping this country off for years. The worse one by far is Virgin Media, they're about as bad as the US equivalent of Comcast. They frequently oversell their broadband and throttle their speeds causing all kinds of problems, I hate virgin media with a passion.
I'm so fucking glad I don't have to deal with that shit anymore. Never ever support the broadband companies if you can pick a different option which is one of the beautiful things about Starlink.

My ultimate fantasy mobile setup would be something like Starlink + Steam Deck + Mini Projector. You could even get ridiculous with it maybe and have some kind of easy to assemble canvas for the projector to get a nice clear picture.

Starlink is something I'm seriously considering depending on where I move abroad. Would happily pay for it even if it's a tad on the higher end depending on the package.
You have to bear in mind you can have Starlink pretty much anywhere and it won't be a problem. There have been people who have filmed themselves going camping in the middle of nowhere having their Starlink connection on which is wild to me and blows my 90's era brain.
Would love to make my millions ( Or not even that much ) with game dev and fuck off like that.

I mean some of it's going to be funny, because all these smug pricks who have main character syndrome and thought they were going to be immune are going to get laid off hard. I do feel sorry for the ones that are just trying to do the right thing though. So many of them are going to be out of the office with cardboard boxes and potentially homeless because they got a mortgage on a house well beyond their means. To go on a mini-tangent Christmas has made me realise just how unbelievably out of touch normies are about the state of the economy. On the flip side, it makes me realise how ahead of the curve I am.
Job security is non-existent, you either live it yourself being one of the unlucky ones or you study the economy and can see it unfolding before your eyes how pointless it all is. The days of getting a 9 to 5 and thinking you're going to be able to pay off a mortgage with just that are fucking gone nevermind the bills on top of it.
The normies don't get it at all and think that anybody who tries to work outside that system is just an unemployed NEET loser and doesn't understand the concept of freelance work, remote work or projects etc. or the fact that the internet is an amazing educational resource in the right hands.
Right or left, they do this larp about being progressive and open minded but a good chunk of them are some of the most close minded tradition obsessed people around and they sneer at anyone different. Universities are a classic example where they think you have to be like them and get 80k - 100k in debt to get anywhere in life. If you don't do the same thing as them it's like they're out on a mission to try and make your life miserable with lecturing.
They have no idea how wrong they're going to be. No one who actually values themselves and has the skill is going to work for some psychopath until they're 60 only to be fired before they can collect their pension and help the CEO buy their 4th Lamborghini.
TLDR: Red pilled people don't understand that they're about 10 - 15 years ahead of the game. Prepare accordingly for the mother of all financial crashes because there are tons of people who seriously believe it won't happen.

I do think you're at least correct about the party system being switched up big time. I've just seen some results from a couple of by-elections and I think this is the real reason they're lashing out. Early general election? I'm very mixed, I think if may is extremely bad they might well get desperate.
Could well be wishful thinking on my part, I can't stand dealing with this right now. Maybe, maybe if it's catastrophically bad they'll get rid of him. However I think a far more likely scenario is they're that batshit insane they may end up just cancelling everything altogether.

Unless you're just looking to make some sprite based RPG shovelware RPG maker is terrible for games development. Pick an engine or use Raylib I guarantee you'll have a much better experience.
I suspect you'll probably find Raylib way more rewarding if you're just doing this for fun it's so much more versatile.

Unless you're going to tell me you're autistic as fuck and have decided to do this anyway why would you hurt yourself trying to develop video games in Javascript? There's a reason people are abandoning that language left and right these days.
I am somebody with a fair bit of experience developing video games so you can ask me about this lol. Also I would not recommend at all necessarily writing something from scratch either, that creates extra headaches and all you're doing is re-inventing the wheel.

So not only is Keir Starmer a typical WEF sellout politician that loves Davos more than he does his own country and not only has there been quite a few tax related scandals happening within his cabinet. Comparing the two I would say that making use of facial capture and 3D animation with 3D only scenes is likely the more consistent option overall.
This almost makes green screen quite obsolete because with this option you always have to do so much tweaking to the lighting among other things to get it looking half-decent. With a full 3D scene the lighting and everything else calculates correctly.

Steam reviews are a hot mess when it comes to any kind of discussion about optimisation these days. In fact it seems most of the internet is, you've got to sort out the retards who are trying to run AAA level titles on 1060 GPUs from ones who are genuinely having problems on good PCs.
If I was completely anal about this I would make it so they have to post their specs up before they can write anything about a game. There are some absolute dribblers who are complaining about game performance on 1060's and 3060's which is completely retarded.
I hate them for making me defend corpos because apparently there are people who are having problems with these games that are on good PCs.

When you really break down what Hollywood does it's not just the cringe they insert into everything that makes it so boring it's the visual effects as well.
Yeah, some of it looks pretty flashy and I'm sure that's why the normies like it at the end of the day but these days even an amateur with a decent PC can conjure up those kinds of effects quite easily. . WEF propaganda about the far right and racism is all a cover up tactic and they're all in on it, alternatively the people who don't know about the rampant crime are useful idiots that live in white only neighbourhoods and are never exposed to this
It's an incredibly elaborate and interesting scam that they're running lol. Oh and don't get me started on the massive payouts the scumbag hotel owners are getting for essentially doing nothing.

On more positive stuff I tried out the wireless feature for my controller. Seems like the wireless adapter is the way to go and it worked really well after I set it up.
Was able to have a banjo and kazooie session on my second monitor which Retroarch makes dead easy to set up, just drag it over and full screen it. From a comfort perspective, I absolutely get why console gamers like that sort of thing, you can just as easily get it setup on the PC nowadays if you take the time to work it out.

One thing I've learned about British politics, it doesn't matter what the politicians do to the public at the end of the day, they will get a golden parachute out of there if worse comes to worse. It's always major scandals among themselves that end up breaking their hold over the government.
This is what happened with the Conservatives, it's now happening to Labour with Peter Mandelson and his relationship with Epstein. Keir Starmer was more than happy to defend Angela Rayner with her tax shenanigans. I thought it might be Palestine that would do it because the activists are completely batshit but it seems no it's personal scandals every time.
This explains why the politicians have such a hard on for covering up rape gangs. The police are involved and I would not be shocked if politicians were involved in some kind of pedo shit to some extent as well.
We need the military to come in and arrest these people and have them all investigated, end of, that's how bad the corruption is here.

Turns out I needed a lot of rest today and I got it so I'm feeling so much more refreshed now. Got a plan, going to be focusing on debugging today, will be poking at that bit of code that's annoying the fuck out of me and see if I can't get it permanently fixed.
I already know that my construction site code is working fine and assigning itself all correctly so I can scratch that off the list so now I need to figure out what's going on with this bit.

Okay peoples' expectations of what something 'good' is are really fucking low, way lower than I've been thinking. I've seen people mentioning Andor and I looked at the trailer and what the actual fuck? This is what people consider 'good' now?
. They somehow managed to remove everything iconic about Star Wars except the Stormtroopers, TIE Fighters and X-Wings
. Everything 'new' in the trailer looked incredibly generic despite it being 'Star Wars'
. Music was completely fucking off, I hate this trend of putting modern music in what should be a space opera style title, it's just more ways that corporations are cutting corners in production because they won't pay for an orchestra the cheap fucks

One conclusion I've come to now the dust has finally settled on the graphics card wars. Nvidia are a complete rip off and yes, I know most people know this. I don't think people appreciate though just how much value for money AMD offers.
If all you care about is 1080p gaming, Nvidia are completely pointless. Raytracing is hugely overrated and I consider 1440p and 4k to be a corpo psyop. They're trying to convince you that you need to buy it when in reality you're paying sometimes triple the price for fuck all performance and the quality isn't all that impressive either.
It feels like AMD are where you go for a solid PC build, then you buy an Intel Arc graphics card as a budget option if you can't afford that.

I once saw someone recently with one of those horrid SUVs it looked like ( Can barely tell anymore because they all seem to be going the same body type ) and the retard driver went around the corner in a narrow car park and smacked their side straight into a bollard because of cause they did.

Won't say for sure whether it's fixed yet, needs more playtesting, but that's way more progress than what I've gotten to previously. It looks like the null checks were throwing my code off, got rid of them and now it seems there are no problems.

Limb damage has been a since Left 4 Dead and Fallout 3, checked it out and I remember the demo for this ages ago and eh. I will laugh at this retarded negative review that was left saying they were triggered by the game being so violent.
Reminds me of when Mortal Kombat came out and then Manhunt, I suppose doing these kind of games are great if you want to get free media attention by triggering some boomers. Can't really fault them for going that route because it does work, personally I want to upset some feminists.

If you have to optimise assets you bought, then they were shit assets that weren't worth the money. Thanks for being clearer on what you meant. You don't understand just how much practicing I've been doing so I don't have to deal with any of that, it's not going to be difficult for me to complete games now.
It will all make sense soonTM and I can show my workflow off as well for those that are interested but the problem is technical videos like that really don't do that great on youtube.

I'm just chatting generally and English obviously isn't your first language. Depending on what sort of asset it is either it can be extremely poorly optimised and if you don't know what you're looking for grabbing something randomly off a marketplace can tank performance hard as AAA studios are discovering. Then there are assets out there are other assets that have been coded up to do specific things but the person designing it all will have no idea what they're doing.
As for big studios focusing too much on graphics, yes they're morons for that. You can have good looking games that are low polygon and have been designed well. There is absolutely no point creating a game that only a small number of users can take advantage of if your goal is to sell lots of copies.

I've pretty much got everything done now nearly so there's nothing to worry about time frame wise. Everyone will understand why more when they see the gameplay in full. Also, the advantage of not being reliant on any outside asset is I know every mechanic inside and out as opposed to somebody who has cobbled together a barely functional project they can't update properly because of their spaghetti code.

Well my main focus right now is by the gods and as mentioned before not to worry on that front I will be posting up way more gameplay when I get stuff out of the way. Currently I'm dealing with village expansion in that game after having been dealing with a very annoying maths problem for 5 years.
The UE5 projects are more of a side thing, I'm playing about with prototypes so I stay away from slop content. Who knows though? Given how easy it is to whip something up in UE5 maybe I'll have some kind of short side project going to make some money.
