It's more that there are thousands of users on one app, and a few hundred spread thinly amongst the rest, and clumped up around a few leading ones.
But that doesn't mean there couldn't be a sudden, seismic shift, that completely upends that order. Nostr doesn't have as strong of a lindy effect as, say, Microsoft did, as it's a web-based protocol and has a small user base, so it's possible to mass-onboard a lot of people at once, who have never before heard of it.

What you are missing is that it took the early HTML Typers that decade to create enough abstraction on top of the HTML, to get everyone else clients that they could use. That is why I have always seen GitCitadel as a 5-year product to the first real product launch. We're 2 years in, already, and only have one minor version out, which means we're on schedule.
The people who thought AI would speed everything up, were right. But AI also means that we're expected to build much bigger and more comprehensive things. People will no longer pay you for a little app. It has to be a real application, like back in the day.

You mean, we have a lot of users who build apps, and they post the most often, as they're testing those apps. Which is not necessarily a bad thing, so long as they don't mind the fact that almost everyone else will continue to use Primal.
You don't have this problem, elsewhere, as every other stack is too centrally-controlled or hard to build on.
But the builders are the most reliable base here. That's why a lot of Nostr feels like Very Early Internet, as it had the same shadowy coder-vibe. Knowing how to use FTP and HTML put me in a tiny subculture, back in the early 90s. Took almost a decade for everyone else to show up, and lots of people I know today can only use WhatsApp and maybe Google Search and Instagram. They can't even figure out how to use email on their phone, even though they needed that to setup the same phone. 🤷‍♀️

Yeah, we're trying to pilot that on https://gitrepublic.imwald.eu,/ by letting you save access tokens to the feeds from other apps, and then displaying them in a combined feed. It's very fiddly, tho. Takes a while to get working smoothly and prevent the tokens from leaking.
The idea is that you can see your issues and PRs from any git server in one interface, and respond to them from there.

Yeah, I do that, too. I meant that I created a sub-feature that allows you to enter an event id in those ranges and it pulls all of the relevant tags and populates the forms with the ones it can use, like e-tags, t-tags, etc.

Calendar events are visible under https://jumble.imwald.eu/search and then click on the calendar button, to see upcoming events (those are just test events). I organize them in order, by month, for the next 6 months. I might extend that to 12 months, as there aren't really that many.
Online automatically gets a HiveTalk hyperlink as the location, that can be changed to some other conference URL. In-person has an optional location, that you have to manually enter.

People think it's done for innovation, but interfaces are mechanical and therefore expensive. It's a cost-cutting measure, to remove them, that they try to use chat-with-your-toaster to make less horrible.
I know this, for a fact, as I know the people who design your toasters. Cheap, cheaper, AI.
Analog is increasingly a luxury.

We're already struggling with this, in our house, as we have people here who need simple nobs and buttons because of special needs, but they're all being eliminated to save money on interfaces. Now, you have to talk your appliances to death or page through complex menus or fumble around on finicky touch-screens.

I have lists of default primary relays and then a list of default backup relays, if those fails. It tries the first and then the second, if the first group gets wiped up. But I take too long to fallback, so it slows down as it retries and retries and retries the first group without giving up.

Because it keeps things from being repeated in your feed, but you can use it to push entries up into the view frame, like a dynamic recommendation list from your follows.
If you like repeats in the feed, then it's not a fitting solution, of course.
