I’m on my way ! Thank you for all the lessons @nprofile…v8dx @nprofile…p4gk @nprofile…m7ae 🙌🏽🙏🏽 its been a learning curve for the past few days since I’ve joined. Toughest part is probably replace the old habits and all the university talks in the industry. I know this is the path, and slowly breaking down some barriers that I didn’t even know I had, but ready for what is to come 🫂🔥🕺🏽

Good morning! 🙌🏽😎🌞
This song made me think a lot today. Let me know your thoughts…
This year has been a wake up call on how much I get done and I still undermine and doubt of myself but it’s time to be happy, celebrate the wins, and keep working on my craft.
With so many song notifications of their anniversaries I’m starting to see my results and how hard I have been going on myself, no wonder sometimes my mind and my body really forces me to rest.
Everyday I wake up, I read my why and the fire starts me up again.
I used to think living my country to have a shot in living my dreams that there wouldn’t be way back, and today I more than ever is the time I double on my productivity
No life without music, emotion into motion, music is the only option, I will leave no regrets and no words unsaid
Today marks the making of ‘My Gosh’ the first song ever playlisted on a major “New Music Fridays Portugal” playlist on Spotify putting us on the map in my home town 2 years ago.
This song speaks about a perfect relationship that comes to an end because of music

Come in
Can you stay
standing still never been a forte
Spontaneity? heard of her…
Three cycles but who’s counting
the forced change 🧘🏽‍♂️
Eyes saw no creation,
fingers felt the already created
art was everything until it was nothing
taken away for the good
Exchanged by the emptiness in the heart
that was fulfilled by
the purest love ever felt instead.
It was a boiling sensation like the one
like the forevermore that doubts crippled in a hundred not good enoughs that were never meant to be deserving of such.
the body entered the era once let down by the frail brain incapable of art, somehow, regret of inner patience or self worth. it all went to entertain with a frequency that no human should vibrate at. Inputs were healthy screams of healing outputs, still no common core nor strength of becoming the receptor of something so pure that you saw for all there was, maybe even for what there was becoming, why talk to the tree that can hear and hug the words never said to the one that no other sees
satisfaction found on parallel city on contentment listening lyrics back, powerful words, the magic lies when sang back to each other and your not there. they took the warrior energies sending into a specific void into outer space they needed it, they embraced it, they believed, and they sent them straight back when collapsing into drained rice was no option like sugar cane the rush was up top
mental health, a taboo in places of communication that we care to imagine.
a very low point forgotten, brushed in as nature forces events.
the neuroscience fascination from the anatomy of body, mind, voice, music, a gaslight therapy pre beautifully orchestrated, a have, thus beginning to post end reality? a fragmented infinity of studies to entail
One job, alone, own, top up, detached, cold compressed competition not against self but rather with the past but the message…
fresh, anew, gorgeous ignorance took to the half way, questionable woke mess that nothing know is true
the ph discoloured and the doctor knows, the stage lights, connected the red of your heart the bumps the blood back to the planet where all began
a movement that told the mindset its impact in youth, the spectrum of interaction not to recognize the social development occurred and setting by chance an all glory merit that is being taken back home
matured tomatoes into adulthood became indigestible influenced by salad that craved more
who
how
you
Thank you for reading, and if you got to here thank you again!
Words have a powerful impact and may be too much for some to understand “broken” pieces but a feel is undeniable and too many words won’t help you understand…
As we all go through transformations and we are not who we were yesterday even before we went to bed, like Moira would say “ you’re lucky if you know who you are from one day to another “
I’m constantly challenging my yesterday self and it never gets tiring.
We are going through a moment of grounding and I could not be more thankful for all the leaves that never flew away. We may have changed, fallen, but we know the power of the tree 🌴 🫂

The satisfaction of listening people singing my lyrics back is so powerful, but the magic lies on the words we sing back to each other. In the video you will hear the song Warriors, and the people singing back at the end, they took over my performance, they took the warrior energies I was sending because they needed it, they embraced it, they believed in those words, and they sent them straight back to me when I was about to feel so drained, all in a matter of 3 minutes and you can see it there.
Mental health is still a taboo in so many places we don’t even care to imagine.
At a very low point of my life I was forced by nature of events to study neuroscience, the anatomy of our body and vocals, and I’ve then completed my studies in music, and not many people actually know what that entails.
One of my jobs is being a therapist to the world, and sometimes I don’t even know how to deal with my own, so I get that song that I wrote 5 years ago on hearphones, and I’m not afraid to say that I cry against the pillow with every word I sing, completely detached of the singer but the message.
What I want to say is that sometimes you just have to feel the feel, let it all out and start fresh, even if it’s half way through the day!
Today I’m deliberating in progression into Masters and potentially Doctorate because as much as I love the stage, my job to connect, and put into words what you probably cannot is not done and I need to learn more to give more.
The work I did with in Scotland was vastly with stage performance but I have invested a big amount of time in Body Movement Vs Mindset and its impact in youth in general but also youth in the spectrum of physical and social development/interaction.
As I matured into adulthood I now onow how hugely influenced I was with being a dancer all my life, and how drastically different my mindset/life would have developed without it.
As I have hope for our youth, our adulthood should not be neglected and Independently of who you are, and how old you are, you are not alone.
OVER/EXPOSED
A project that took 7 months of intense work, getting to know one another, unmasking, and stripping down layers to get to the point where we could share our cracks nakedly to you.
Our main goal ?
Showing that it is okay to be broken, we can be broken together,
it’s okay to share what we think being too heavy or that no one is there to listen, we are here to listen and to say that we can be beautifully glued together like your favourite mug of coffee that you refuse to bin it,
that’s a reflection of all of us, some just pretend too well.
Saying I’m fine became norm, and I’m here to break it if not honest!
We decided to over expose half of what we go through,
half of what we deal and hide,
half of the things we had to heal from, and we did it in public so we don’t have to pretend or say I’m okay when not.
Spit it out and let the healing commence.
Let our message be the traveler that hugs who may need,
and remember
everyone has a different starting point.
And be aware what you’re favourite songs are saying to you because they are shaping your brain during the day!
Listen to your body, and
Thank you for reading 🙏🏽🫶🏽

Hey Damos community!
I’m Flava J👋🏾

I’ve performed at many festivals, private events, in the streets, restaurants, clubs and prestigious venues, Edinburgh’s Queen’s Hall, Usher Hall and Kings Theatre, Aberdeen Arts Theatre, across UK, Brazil, Spain, and Portugal, expanding to Austria, and upcoming Malta and Germany.
You might have also spotted me in Magazine Vogue Italia, and US, a Converse commercial advert, or somewhere in the background of Indiana Jones, Anasi Boys, Good Omens or African Gods.
I’m here because I’m in a season of growth, building my brand, expanding my network, and connecting with people who are doing the same.
I’m developing a clothing line for the past 3 years under PCLR FLVRS, from digital to wearable sounds rooted in my music’s storytelling. I transferred my knowledge into an artist development platform through Peculiar Flavours, and a full musical is in production alongside its autobiographical book.
If you’re in music, events, fashion, TV or just love connecting with artists who are genuinely building something, come through, and let’s talk.
More than multi-hyphenated, I am a life long learner that loves to chat and grow with like minded people that will see themselves evolve day by day and competing with their yesterdays selves.
Appreciated for you time reading and I’m super excited to meet you and support you along on this incredible and unique life of yours.
Thank you for your support in advance 🙏🏽
