Nato didn’t expand to rusian borders, instead, countries that were aware of rusian imperialism wanted protection and expanded towards west,l and nato by doing huge work and paying big price for that.

rusian broke Budapest memo (together with UK and US) in 2014 when annexed Crimea. They’ve also started hybrid as early as 2004 when poisoned Ukraine’s president (actually even earlier)
There is no treaty with rusia regarding NATO nor between Ukraine and rusia, nor any other country
Also, since 1991 Ukraine is independent state recognized by entire world, including rusia, even with borders being marked by both sides (not the case with Canada and US btw as far as I remember)

I think you overestimate amount and quality of help in general and weapon in particular coming from US. And I assume you falsely think that Ukrainians stop fighting once US help stops. This is pretty far from the truth
Stopping all US help would be hard but that won’t force Ukrainians to surrender and die. At least not this year. Similar applies to the rest of aid from partners
Thats why its not actually a new reality but just an obstacle for Ukraine. Its a big obstacle and a huge backstab from people (not govt) considered to

The issue is that rusia is not after territories. And if Ukraine doesn’t get back territories and the aggressor doesn’t get severely punished — it will only incentivize him to double down after a break and a work on mistakes.

idk, who needs to read this, but lets pretend that #nostr is actually about freedom of speech and stuff.
There are already memes here making fun of my country and people dying so you know whats that is about. This show that US citizens are running today in the form of Trump looks fun and all if you think of it like another Netflix series.
But the reality is different and actually much simpler.
rusians are aggressors, rusians are invaders, rusians are imperialists.
Today they have more than they had in 2021.
If they are not punished, they will not stop because things work for them.
I won't make any analogies like "appeasing the aggressor didn't work in 1939 and actually led to WW2".
Because this is a narrative shift that plays for appeasers.
The reality is, world of strength works right now and Ukraine can't stand alone against rusian imperialism.
Actually out of a couple of hundreds there are just a handful of countries probably who could hold for the same amount of time.
And why can't Ukrainians do that on their own even "with huge money inflows"?
The answer is simple — because in 1994 Ukraine became the single nation at that time and still is — who voluntarily gave their 3rd biggest nuclear arsenal away because they believed in a better world and prosperity for everyone.
And one of the points of this agreement stated:
2. The United States of America, the Russian Fed-
eration, and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and
Northern Ireland, reaffirm their obligation to refrain
from the threat or use of force against the territorial in-
tegrity or political independence of Ukraine, and that
none of their weapons will ever be used against Ukraine

the Charter of the United Nations
Which was violated AT LEAST in 2014 (but in reality even earlier).
You can argue what is the true meaning of words "reaffirm" or "support" of course, and this is exactly why Ukraine is seeking for real guarantees and not just yet another toilet paper piece that lasts a couple of years.
But that doesn't change objective reality.
After objective reality you can start your personal subjective polemics for fun like:
* But NATO expanded
* But the USAID sponsored coupe
* But ...
But that doesn't change objective reality.
So why would you care? Well, you basically should not, because the free market and the rule of strength have already decided for you.
But if you are looking for truth, alternative opinion or just want to decided who to blame, I can suggest something to you:
First of all blame rusians because they are terrorists, racists (you read it right, even though their country is multi-ethnic) and imperialists
Second, blame US and UK for breaching their obligations
Third, blame countries like Germany, France, China and the rest of EU because they just pretended that they are supporting the robbery of the 3rd biggest nuclear arsenal
And only then blame Ukrainians for being not saint, but corrupt, not robocops meant for a war but normal people, for not being able to fight bigger army, economy and country with fewer resources and not making this series fun enough for you

Again, I’ll try to put it simpler using your words. There is not a single jurisdiction without at least ANY restriction => EVERY operator MUST scan for illegal content unless they are uncatchable Joe. So your first argument doesn’t hold.
Also, relays MUST be for profit (if we are not talking about nostr in its today form no one uses just like right now) - because one has to pay for hosting and operation. So your second argument doesn’t hold.

2. No followers

4. No search
5. No private messages (yet)

Why? There are no better tools yet to manage business logic heavy apps yet, especially that allow for so quick start on a $5 VPS and scale to multi million AWS setup

I believe ruby is still the most popular language for startups backend development if you factor out python hype which is temporary and wordpress-level development. Even server-side javascript is not very popular if you don’t count API->NextJS(server)->NextJS(client) as server side javascript
But yeah, most likely OpenAPI is enough, at least for 20/80

Nostr is built for “stealing” right now and its called censoeship resistance. Its a fundamental decision to not make it difficult to share content you see.
Theoretically its impossible to stop information spreading on internet. However, standard platforms make it as difficult as possible, which effectively translates to creators thinking they control things.
Not only nostr has nothing to handle this use case right now, I bet the majority of the community would not support it ans would say “if one is concerned their content to be copied to another relay they should not use nostr”
Right now external tools should be used to achieve that - i.e. post nostr note with a link to media server which only renders images to whitelisted IPs (who paid for content)

Creators are the core of every social network. 1% of creators produce 90%+ of content people want to consume. Without creators a project could be anything but a social network
Just my 2 cents experience on that:
Last year I’ve started a project https://github.com/viktorvsk/saltivka to address this issue in particular, to build more tools for creators
However, I’ve found zero interest in the community to go this way. Most of the feedback usually “its a better place without influencers here”, “nostr already won and they will join when they understand, same as with bitcoin”, “I like nostr to be a safe place for smart people and I don’t want millions of idiots here”
So I’ve stopped building this part of nostr, because it requires coordination between relay devs, clients devs, ui/ux designers and operations teams, so I don’t see I can handle its all on my own

Well id Ukraine is insignificant for someone to support then just sit down and wait until a country significant to them will appear in the same position as Ukraine right now. L
The slightly difference will be that instead of money and verbal support they will have to send their own people to die, but thats probably insignificant once a significant country is invaded, right?
