Here’s why Boomers “don’t understand” #Bitcoin , or are largely uninterested.
Most Boomers have wealth/comfort, thus a lack of *need* for more.
Most Bitcoiner’s were young, felt behind, had a big *need*.
These 2 points dictate our willingness to believe in #Bitcoin ’s value.
The more you want, the more you need.
Though you’ll never find real satisfaction from a stance of chasing wants.
There’s always a new *want*, hence the business model of instagram, Tiktok & Meta.
Meeting your needs and steering clear of FOMO is the real way to *riches*.

Black Swans are the obvious issue most don’t see because the average person just plays along with irrational explanations.
There are a small, but quite a few, that see Black Swans because they think logically, rationally prepare, and *can* wait long enough in a position. They can wait for the adverse event to unfold. Most can’t.
It’s not that Black Swans are unseen or unknown.
It’s that *most* choose to ignore the obvious signs.
Typically, because it means not taking the easy route, or making a big change to one’s lifestyle. So, only a few are willing to do this and are rewarded handsomely for doing so.
Ex: in 2008 it was *very* clear that Central Banks were becoming absurdly large hedge funds that had lost control, with no bigger fish to come in and backstop them.
However, it was not until a decade later that they finally began failing. 2018 - 2022.
It is very clear that US College Education is and has been an enormous bubble. Subsidized by govt grants and funding, & supported by issuing enormous bond amounts to overbuild. They can’t pay the interest expense so they raise tuition every year and use that raise to pay bondholder interest expense. The definition of ponzi.
This Black Swan has failed to happen… yet. But is very, clear, obvious and open.

Still trying to understand this angle (for years). Not being snarky? Why magical?
In the US, it would be a bunch of taxable events without enough reporting to not make it a total nightmare come tax time.

Great move @npub129z…y5gm. If we the people chased wisdom with the same tenacity that we chase money, the world would truly be a better place.
We would rid ourselves of evil and distrustful leaders and squash the never ending noise of news headlines promoting gossip and warmongering.
If we all did this daily and continued weekly, the good would compound and make this the best world possible.
Seeking wisdom over money, power, and fame will show you that opting out, is really opting in. FEW

Grab an IBD subscription. There are some fallacies to “high PEs”. A lot of the work behind IBD was effectively Jesse Livermore’s pyramiding strategy.
If you look at PEs in a vacuum you would and will miss every one of the greatest companies on earth because they will *always* look grossly expensive by this term.
Price action is the signal.

No. They are a “reserve asset” for central banks. So, technically yeah, they can make more loans off them.
It was intended as a digital currency for central bankers but the tech wasn’t there. The intent was to solve the currency issues of the 1970s which we still face today.

USD is not a real thing, but a basket of 6 global currencies. Basically the G7, old G5.

Great write up Mike.
When you politicize everything you destroy faith and gain nothing of value while exposing the truths of how we got here.
I’m slowly reading The Party. It’s abundantly clear that whether you believe in Communism or Democracy.
Whether you lean left or right, whether your a capitalist or socialist. They’re all stealing the “best” from each other. Each group takes from their opponents what works in one dogmatic approach and embeds it in the their cultist system and then seeks to take on the world as a stronger group with a “better” approach.
We are thousands of years in and still facing the problem without eradicating the central problem rooted in us all… human greed.
This character flaw creates a spectrum we all lie on in the pursuit of money. Until we right this flaw history will repeat as it always has with one group trying to destroy the other for personal gain.
