I am primarily desktop here, mostly linux, occasionally windows but recognize that mobile browsers must account for a lot of the metrics nowadays.
If i could easily view my phone without glasses i'm not always wearing i'd be one of them but i still prefer a full workstation, desktop OS and keyboard and mouse lol. :)

Here in #Seattle / #WA State, a very #trans friendly place... you cannot apply for a concealed weapons permit and get one with a non-binary 'X' gender marker.
King County does not have the means to recognize anything other than M/F gender markers for this purpose.
So there already is a situation where us legally non-binary folks with 'X' gender markers on WA State ID's have to choose either M or F when getting a gun permit.

😲 Damn!
I bought 96GB of DDR5 for my mini pc last year and two fast 4TB SSD's. I've not gone and looked to see the difference in price now but i know it has to be insane. This makes me curious though to log in to Amazon and look at the difference. I bought everything last summer.

I'm going to share this thought with you all before i move on with my day.
Here on #Mastodon and the #Fediverse, there's a ton of us #Trans folks. Many who aren't #transgender here are #allies and supportive of our rights.
Real allies recognize how hard it is to be one of us in the #USA in 2025 under #Trump. Real allies also would be aware of someone like #ErinReed if you actually follow what's happening to us and care to know.

The only difference i can see is that if you want to view adult content on Bluesky, you'll need to comply with age verification in order to do so if in an area where it's mandated.
Mastodon also requires a birthdate to be entered when signing up.
Either can be substituted for whatever false info you provide but you may be limited in viewing adult content on Bluesky depending on where you live.

People have been using ML for quite awhile successfully, there are use cases where AI LLM's are assisting people in many industries.
The big issue is the AI bubble and i'd agree with you that it's not making the money that it needs to in order to sustain that. That's due to it being hyped and promising things it can't do successfully.
But as for AI itself, it's here to stay in some ways.. where it works.

But for some who respond to posts here re: #AI they don't make a distinction.
The recent 'I'm leaving #Fedora because they will allow AI code contributions' crowd seems pretty quiet now upon news the same is happening with the kernel itself.

Also, i get that everyone dislikes #AI and for good reason, but it's now also going to be acceptable for it to be used in development of the #linux kernel itself.
There are places where it works, and places where it's annoying and no one asked for it. Mozilla adding it to Firefox is obviously the latter of the two but AI overall is here to stay in some regards obviously.

This definitely sucks for anyone living in a U.S. State where THC is still illegal.
I'm thankful i live in WA State which was the first to legalize Cannabis for recreational use (Colorado though beat us to the actual first shop opening).
It's 2025, people need to get real about the dangers of CBD / THC / Marijuana vs. Alcohol. It's crazy you can drink booze but not smoke pot in many places still.

Yes, i use a Samsung S25 and like it a lot.
If you don't want to use #Android and want #GrapheneOS get a Pixel and put that on it. Just be aware some apps will not work with it, like Banking apps.
I need things like that to work so i don't use it.

I think a lot of people here will probably respond with variants of #linux phones which may or may not be the best depending on your needs.
Some may also recommend getting a Google Pixel and putting @npub1kwa…e0nj on it, but some things like banking apps won't work on it.
I personally have a Samsung S25 and like it a lot. Had #Samsung phones before and overall have had good experiences with them.
