We're discussing about this industrial #Zilog #Z80 server machine. Two 8" floppy drives, no HDD. Someone of you know this machine?
Hold or exchange against another rare machine?

An exclusive preview for my followers. The open day setup, #Commodore #C64 with #Roland interface plugged to external port is driving several #synthesizers. Come to see it tomorrow and Saturday in #computermuseum #Visselhövede.

So I had to compile my own RomWBW? It's on my bucket list to do it by myself. In the moment it runs with a precompiled one from smallcomputercentral.

After waiting a few days to get all parts the #SC126 from the genius #RC2014 line is running out of the box. Has to remember the DCD0 jumper, without RomWBW does not start to prompt. Next steps are the addition of SD-card for filesystem and look for a source how to "overdrive" the processor ;)

I moved my SD card installation from the #PiStorm emulator with its background linux OS fully to #Emu68k now. Not so comfortable to work directly with the .hdf files, but #WinUAE also mounts the SD card partitions to transfer installations simply. In combination with RGB2HDMI the gaming machine is back to life.
Happy Easter days for you all.

Tried cpmtools two evenings to realize a transport without success. And yes, I'll take a look to put something for the serial port onto the machine in the next future.

Yes, know it and played with it in combination with Spectrum a while ago. But it's a horrible procedure to put files onto the machine via 2 x disk drive exchanges.

And finally we can play #Zork now. Can someone recommend a usable C compiler for CPM? I found TinyC, which is an interpreter only for learning purposes.

I have unlimited aliases, so seems to be the easiest way to solve it.

Something I've wanted to do for a long time. I'm currently logging into about a dozen servers and changing my email address to individual addresses. So that I can deactivate the leaked address that was used there so far and finally have silence from spam emails again. Hurray for alias email addresses ;)

Do you remember the good, old #Psion software for the #Sinclair #QuiteLate? Imho very advanced for that time!

For a steep learning curve: Please unsocket RAMs and TTL ICs cautious on both sides of the socket if you have to use a screwdriver. Or buy a cheap IC removal tool for a few bucks.
At twelve of sixteen 41464 RAM chips the outside pins where bend about 30° 😭 But all are tested as good.

Do you all know this well known smell if you plugin an old #BBCMicro and first is the high voltage RIFA condenser going to hell?
In lack of a 0,1uF/250V I stacked two 47nF/630V. Best of it, there where two solder points on each side. Now the machine is running, but it needs a little love before going on the race line.

The 'wooden' #Sinclair #ZX81 is in it's comfort zone in between all the other #ZilogZ80 fired stuff.
