My daughter asked for a music responsive lamp for her room.
I had designed this shade in #openscad a while ago and it seemed perfect for this.
I added a ring of 35 LEDs and an off the shelf sound responsive module from aliexpress. Easy build.
My usual plan is an #esp32 and #WLED but I wanted her to be able to control it and this little rf remote is much easier.
I think it turned out pretty nice.

I regularly see people say “PLA is fine outdoors, you don’t need any fancy filament”
This is PLA vs PETG in a month or so of *Seattle* sun, we hardly have sun here. Our sun is the Sunny D to California’s orange juice.
Friends don’t let friends use PLA outdoors.

I looked around at the available case options for the RG405M and I wasn't totally happy so I remixed one.
I definitely had some mesh issues I couldn't find in #Blender, but it worked well enough to get a good print out and I'm not sure I need to invest more time in this project than that.

Installed #GammaOS on my RG405 and the #Daijisho front end is just what I was looking for to make this more console-like and less “leftover android phone”.
The kids have now fully stolen the RG35xx H so I guess I’m sticking with this one for me.
Played a bit of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES) this morning and had a great time with it.
Highly recommend getting yourself a handheld emulator.

I got an RMA for the RG353VS with the broken sticks.
I think I want a horizontal form factor for better ergonomics so I ordered two to try out.
The RG35XX H is great. Lightweight, great size, DPad on top, and runs linux, which I’m way more comfortable than android, but the joysticks suck.
The RG405m feels fancy, has a bigger screen, much faster chip, runs android, (which is probably fine?), has good sticks, but is kinda big and heavy and the dpad is on the bottom.

Had a great time playing with this last night, until I tried to play an N64 title and learned that one of the joysticks is borked and pinned down.
Going to have to try for an RMA from Anbernic and see where we get.

any chance we can get an update for ghost to allow people to use their magic links to login when inside a browser view in an app?
I want to be able to click on ghost links in Ivory without dropping out to mobile Safari.
