Trump and his windmills. Outrageousness is his calling card, cruelty his weapon, stupidity his method.
Only Congress can rename geographical entities like Lake Ontario, just as only Congress can rename the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and its site and grounds. For Trump, the law is a pinata.
Next, Trump will rename the Mall's giant obelisk the Trump Monument, and claim that it's a scaled-down version of his manhood. He's a dangerous nut with the nuclear codes.

I'm not impressed with how fast a robot can run. I'm more worried about what it will be used for.
It won't be to help the elderly cross the street or clear rubble in Gaza, or clean bedpans, pick grapes or avocados, work in mines, land on Mars, or tend orbiting data centers.
It won't be to stop retail giants' biggest concern: shoplifting! Trump is giving them ICE goons for that.
Robots are more likely to be used to surveil, intimidate, assault, detain, and kill humans.

Donald Trump is treating the USG as a private equity investor treats a new acquisition.
He's loading it up with new debt he never intends to repay. He intends, rather, to cash out and stick the new investors/Democrats with debt they can't repay, without permanently changing or destroying the underlying company/country.

That is, they are not to investigate, say, shootings by ICE goons where they murder innocent civilians.

One reason for the quality of universities in the UK is their openness to foreign students. It may have originated as an artifact of empire. It continued because it worked: it attracted top foreign talent, from the wealth elite and the hopes of small towns across the globe.
Since Thatcher, foreign students have paid significantly more than domestic students, income that universities have come to rely on as a substitute for support Parliament has withdrawn.

Consumption by the poor, working and middle classes is transparent: rent, food, health care, education, tax returns, etc. It's consumption by the wealth elite that's hard to trace, owing to an industry of courtiers who can hide it behind family businesses, trusts, cut-outs, etc.

Every day is the day to excoriate those responsible for preventable tragedies. The media and public have a hard time focusing on them any other day, which is what Republicans are hoping for when they say, not today.
