I am no athlete or professional, but having no recovery phase whatsoever will most likely diminish your return.

I never have been confronted with any of such content. I am not denying or doubting the existence, just sharing the experience I had.
I have once given /e/OS a try in hope, it would be an open-source mobile operating system alternative with high privacy/security means while being compatible with a more-than-average "sustainable" Fairphone (well, is there any truly sustainable phone?).
What drove me away, was the odd built-in VPN and the privacy tracker. In fact, I found the privacy specification with Facebook Lite already then odd.

Could you please elaborate on an app that pushes you to use a website? I can't think of an example, only the (in part annoying) other way around.

Please also mention the tested platforms. I, for one, think the decision is sadly also dependent in part on the platform. :ablobcatcry:
