Anyone have links to good guides to writing alt text on the fediverse? I would like to provide it as a resource for folks in a Discord I joined who are just starting to learn how to write image IDs (the alt text feature in Discord is terrible so we write image IDs in posts with the image.)
Edit: I have found a great basic one and some additional commentary from AltTextHallOfFame, if anyone has a link to a guide for more complex stuff like comics or memes I would much appreciate it.

New bill to remove "politics, ideology" from Alberta schools.
Basically, ban the LGBTQ flags. Oh and I have seen similar stuff at a municipal level ban Every Child Matters flags too.
I dunno if it would also ban kids and teachers from wearing pride shirts and merch, and same goes for orange shirts (Every Child Matters). But I could see it being that bad.

@nprofile…8wpj It was the first ADHD medication I was trialled on. I found out pretty quickly that stimulant medications would work for me, but I found Ritalin too short-acting to do me much good. But for others that might be a boon.
In order to last a full workday I needed to take some in the morning and then again around lunch. I found it so short acting that I felt myself "coming down" from it before my lunch dose, and Ritalin I especially felt a lot closer to illegalized stimulants I had done in the past, so it felt more "speedy" to me, and I didn't like the association, but someone without that history might not have that problem.
It still helped me a lot and because it was so short acting I was able to figure out a good dosing schedule quite quickly, my doctor gave me a range to stay within but let me experiment.
I would go on to take Concerta for a couple years, which is a longer-release method of the same chemical, methylphenidate.

Finished my first pair of socks!
Now, I didn't have the wrapper with the yarn that told me the length anymore, long gone, so I was eyeballing how much to use. I didn't make the left sock's leg portion very long at all.
But it was too long to make an actual matching pair with what was left over, I had enough to do the foot and heel and cuff but basically no leg portion. I'm not that bothered as these were for me and a way of learning socks.
My roommates want socks now, and though I want to eventually try making my own socks without a pattern this year, I would appreciate the experience knitting different sizes from a pattern. So. I'm knitting them socks from the same pattern. But I have enough yarn for their socks to make them match. :3
