Lol I love a bitcoiner telling somebody else about being in an absurd cult with others conspiring against you. Rather rich when all I hear from bicoiners is "everybody who disagrees with me is CIA".
I don't ascribe to Kratter or your version of reality. The reason why? I've listened to people like you, to my detriment, for a decade. And what I've come to realize, you're all full of shit and up your own ass.
I agree the soft fork was badly planned and a bad strategy. I already said that I wasn't a fan of it, not that you care BC you seem more inclined to try to sound smart than actually be it.
But nobody has done a good job of refuting much of anything else. Mining centralization IS a problem. All you can say is that its slowly getting better. And I said already, I don't believe you. I've heard that same line of BS for 10 years now.
Seriously, you're a stereotype of what I hear from your side of the Ilse. "you're side has already been refuted, now go away and let me smell my own shit". In 3 posts you've told me over and again that I've already been refuted, without refuting anything. And THAT is what your side of this has produced. The only reason the fork failed is BC nobody wanted it. Not that your retarded argument claiming it was refuted ever made sense. And that's why I say its weak and pathetic. BC it is.

I think you're just using flowery language to hand wave away serious problems. 5 regulated mining pools control nearly all of the hash power while the main implementation pushed through a contentious change while bitcoiners stood by and let it happen.
It is actually very easy to make a few phone calls to control what the mining pools do. Elitists and state actors do that shit all the time.
So the only thing bitcoiners are relying on now is " well the individual miners would point there hash elsewhere if something fishy went down with their mining pool." And if that's all you got then bitcoiners have just become weak and pathetic.
Core is either captured or could give a shit about the node runners, nobody seems to care that more and more non monetary garbage piles up on the chain, a serious hardware wallet exploit was public for 5 years and went unnoticed by the entire community that likes to act as if they love open source for it auditabilty, and now I'm being told "don't worry bro, the miners got your back." All I can saybis fuck that.
Say what you want about BIP 110. I wasn't a huge fan of it. But at least the people behind it had the balls to try to fix something instead of sitting on nostr posting GM memes all fucking day.
But now all I see is bitcoiners running off people who obviously love bitcoin BC of disagreement that never shpuldbhave happened had the community had the god damn balls to stop core from doing some retarded.
Its fucking pathetic. Its weak. Its juvenile, and I've had enough of this loser shit.

Also note you don't contend with any argument being made. Your logical fallacy oriented brain just says I'm retarded for using cold card, although I never said I did. And no mention of the contradiction of telling me bitcoin is hard to change when it obviously isn't given how Core did it without a peep from this community who all of a sudden seems to care so much about how we don't want to change things.
Have fun giving slurpees to Michael Saylor as you pat yourself on the back about how smart you are BC you understand how difficult bitcoin is.

Keep flying above the rest of us in your non trusting space ship of magic you fucking dip shit. Bitcoin isn't easy lol. See what I mean about the philosophical musing from on high that prove nothing but how pathetic you are? What does that mean? That I should keep my mouth shut about a pathetic culture that tries to act tough on an irrelevant protocol being used for nothing more than an social media echo chamber for losers?

I wish I had seen as much shit posting and philisophical pontificating about the nature of bitcoin regarding Core and Op Return as I have about BIP 110. Its like two similar situations with two different responses from bitcoiners.
For Op Return, since Core just did it, bitcoiners just took it up the ass and proved how soft they were. For BIP 110 since it took more consenses, all of a sudden it was OK to shit on it BC it wasn't going to work anyway.
This doesn't prove anything to me other than how soft the bitcoin community has become. Bitcoiners are more inclined to post like they are philosophers from on high on Nostr acting like they have all of life's answers than they are to hold Core accountable. Its fucking pathetic. These god damn influencers told me to get a cold card, stayed silent through Op Return and now want to lecture me about BIP 110. They can fuck off.

Any younger generation is going to be less productive by default due to less experience. Although I have to say working in an office with boomers is exhausting. I have to basically explain to them how to do basic functions on a computer. And they are far less productive than I am BC of that. So many of them are extremely less productive BC they are just too old.
Boomers have presided over the most massive expansion of debt in human history. In America they were gifted the most productive economy in human history and they squandered it on themselves. Now not only are boomer offspring saddled with the debt they created, their offsprings offspring are. Boomers robbed from future generations so they could have fancy houses and now refuse to quit but would rather keep coming into work taking up high paying jobs while being too old to keep up anymore. But why leave when you get paid twice what you should. Just sit there and stare at a screen and collect a check until you expire.

Perhaps you should read Lysander Spooner or even Rothbard. Neither of whom considered voting to be complicit in statism. Voting can't even considered to be purely voluntary.
But the strategy of calling people trying to improve their situation in any way they can think of as complicit in the system that has placed them in such a situation is nothing but off putting and callous. And wrong, on top of that.
You can debate about whether its useless or not. I find the blanket statement that its useless is hard to defend given you can't account for every situation. Voting may be useless in some or even most situations. But not all. And if you don't live in the US you haven't seen the cultural shift that vote has caused. Its not all great but its more positive than I've ever witnessed in terms of the prospects for liberty. Republicans are actually talking about ending the income tax now. That would be unheard of just 2 years ago.
But the berating people for voting for the obvious better choice in an election that could have gone either way on a platform mostly of libertarians and anarchists is crazy to me. Do you not think an anarchist or libertarian that voted for trump didn't realize he would do stupid shit?

2025-02-02 19:22:18 GMT

- reply

It really is depressing to see anarchists saying stuff like this. They know its not true but their sinissism gets the best of them. Even if you think voting is useless to follow that up with a claim that those who vote are an accomplice to staitism is absolutely ridiculous.
The sheer ignorance to the actual plight people are placed under by statism that that type of statement portrays is hard for me to comprehend. Its nothing but callousness.

We can sit here and pontificate about what is and isn't libertarian or how we are empowering a politician to hold somebody hostage until we give him what he wants but at the end of the day, an innocent man is free. And that wouldn't have happened under Kamala, and those were the choices we had. Unless you wanted to start shooting, which this guy didn't do.
As much as I hate the state I really am getting tired of this kind of rhetoric from libertarians. "You helped to empower a tyrant, you KNOW what he is!"
Yes I do. The choice wasn't empower a tyrant or not. Would a tyrant not have been empowered had trump lost? Of course not. But Ross would be spending the rest of his life in a cage, that's for sure.

First, the healthcare market is nothing more than a government regulated racket. However, even if it was fully free market and you didn't want to pay somebody to provide their time and services to save your life, that's not their problem. You can't enslave people, even to save your life. And relating this to coercion because somebody won't provide a service to you without you compensating them is just trying to force a definition onto something you don't like.
Second, a local government forcing you to move in order to not pay a tax you don't want to payis coercion. Plain and simple. If you don't pay the tax, they arrest you.
So scenario 1, you don't pay for a service, you don't get it.
Scenario 2, you don't pay for a service you're thrown in jail.

Maybe one of the most amazing Christmas miracles. I always like to remember this story on #Christmas. Its a firm reminder that people would prefer peace over fighting. And, like most evils in the world, it's only encouraged by the state and the death and misery it causes is all to serve the ends of the narcissists in office who care nothing for the lives of others.
Christmas is the perfect day to spread this message. We can live in peace if we want to. All we have to do is remember our humanity in the face of statism. #Merry Christmas!

Oh but I thought you said out of 195 countries the US is the only one that proves my point. You have shown you know how many countries there are in the world but you just don't know shit about them. 195 countries includes North Korea. But no no no they don't have corruption in government. Its only the US BC we are a bunch of silly capitalists that the rest of the world laughs at. Its such a ridiculous, illogical argument honestly.
At this point you're reduced to making blanket statements about anarchists of which you have already shown you know nothing about.
I'll say this again, your arguments about anarchists are old and tired. I heard them in college from both left and right alike. Back then it was "why don't you move to Somalia" and now you're using the Congo. Even though it has a government, of course that you claim has sold out to corporations. And you're right. Except you miss that those corporations have to buy off the government in order to do what they are doing. You even said it yourself. They sold out. So what the fuck use is the government then? Jfc the mental jumping jacks you have to do are amazing.
So before, only 1 country proved my point. Now its a few of them. Just don't address the corruption in all the European countries I just mentioned. Or talk about the guy in Spain who is saying the same thing about his country. Or maybe the fact that Bill Gates is in hot water in the Netherlands for possibly lying about vaccines and causing injuries. The government definitely didn't allow him to do that in such a non corrupted country though did they? Its not like the response to covid was the same nearly throughout the whole world. Lock down and force people to get a vaccine that made big pharma billions. No definitely not. Its only 1 country that is corrupted. Even though Australia basically went full on authoritarian.
These arguments are just outside the realm of logic. And its sad to me that people have such stockholm syndrome that they keep defending their subjugators.

Bro the whole thread was started by a guy complaining about how the Spanish government doesn't care about him and you came in bitching about he's complaining. Europe is helping the US fund a war that is slaughtering thousands and thousands of people and the EU and NATO have threatening to enter that war which could cause a nuclear Holocaust and end life on the planet as we know it.
But hey, according to you they have regulating food down really well BC they care so much about their people. Just don't complain if they can't help their people during a flood right? BC then they sick their statist shills on you. You're full of shit.

You mean like how restaurants are able to serve food fried in rancid oils BC the government encouraged that after they inflated food prices so much people couldn't afford real oils?
Oh yea. Bang up job done by government regulatory bodies that are completely captured by the very industries they regulate. But hey, if we could just get the right people in there it would finally work right? Just had the wring people in there for the last 100 years is all.
Seriously man have you actually been alive in the last ten years? The only people speaking out against government regulatory corruption are private entities. And the government could give a shit.

When people speak this way all it shows is that they know nothing about the ideas of liberty and anarchy.
We need government to handle things so we can focus on other things? Really? So do we need government to handle producing food? What about cars? What about cell phones? Man I sure do wish governments would produce some accounting services so I could account for my business.
The government takes. Period. It as nothing and gives nothing that it doesn't take from somebody or force somebody to give. Saying we need them to do things so we can focus on other things is like saying we need to mafia to force businesses to pay them for protection. Its a ridiculous statement.
However, if that mafia took half of your income by force claiming they will protect you, perhaps you would demand some protection when you needed it. Only to have people like you come in with "oh see now you want help when before you were bitching about having your money stolen!! You can't have it both ways!"
Or could it be that if they hadn't taken half your money you could have found a service that wasn't completely incapable of actually protecting you. Instead of an organization that doesn't actually give a shit about protecting you.
I think its perfectly fine to demand something from the mafia after they took so much from you. Even if you know they can't or won't provide it. BC it simply shows how illegitimate they actually are.

I get what youre saying I just don't think this is a flaw in the ideology of anarchism itself. The ideology just states its wrong to initiate aggression. 2024-10-16 20:56:32 GMT

Agreed. And framing it as "an ideology that doesn't account for human nature" is flawed IMO. Its like somebody says, "I should be able to do what I want if I'm not hurting anybody." Llama 3.1

2024-08-25 16:14:38 GMT

Told Llama to write a poem in the style of Robert Frost of how Bitcoin will save the world.
The woods of finance, dark and deep,
Where fiat's roots their vigor keep,
A path unwinds, a trail unspun,
To Bitcoin's promise, just begun.
The trees of trust, they whisper low,
Of ledgers open, for all to know,
A decentralized dream, where none can cheat,
A store of value, that can't be beat.
The wind of change, it whispers through,
Of freedom's call, for me and you,
From chains of banks, and governments' sway,
To a new dawn, where individuals hold the day.
The snow of scarcity, it gently falls,
On Bitcoin's code, that enthralls,
A limited supply, a treasure rare,
A store of wealth, beyond compare.
The road not taken, by the masses wide,
Leads to a future, where Bitcoin resides,
A world of peace, where commerce thrives,
Where borders fade, and freedom survives.
The woods of finance, dark and deep,
Will slowly yield, to Bitcoin's creep,
A revolution quiet, yet oh so grand,
That will save the world, from fiat's hand.
Note: I've tried to emulate Robert Frost's style, using a similar rhyme scheme, meter, and poetic devices, but the poem's content and message are, of course, quite different from his typical themes.

You can pontificate on how that came to be and call people commies for pointing out the absurdity of it but it doesnt change the absurdity. Your first response to me was I sound like a commie. So dont act like ad hominems are what youre really upset about. You were defending monarchy as if nobody on nostr has read Hoppe or something.

So sort of like calling somebody young and lost in a debate with them. You wouldnt know anything about that now would you?

Yes pointing out that peoples perceived legitimacy of a monarch is what gives them their power is just not the message you want to hear right now. So I guess a straw man of royal hats being my biggest issue here is a better way to go. Oh how evil I am.

This is nothing more rambling and tells me all I need to know. Youre defending a monarch while at the same time trying to act like somebody else is the confused statist. Its a stupid hat and a stupid cape and he has no legitimacy to me. I dont have go after the most important things to you in a post to make my point. Get over yourself. Good day.

Its a stupid fucking hat. And pointing that out is not unimportant. These people that rule over us are jokes. Him being a monarch makes no difference to me. I'll continue to point out that the emperor has no clothes. His stupid traditions built up over millennia to lord over an entire populace doesn't change that. I dont really care all that much if you think that's communist. Using the idea that monarchies are better for liberty as compared to democracy as a means to defend a monarch is absurd to me. And if its not communist itself, its a statism. And that's bad enough for me.

Its one thing to make a comparison between monarchs and democracies. Quite another to defend their stupid traditions setup to try to command allegience from the population. His stupid little hat and throne are nothing more than a pathetic attempt to look important.

Statist rituals are so absurd. Never mind the fact the guy is wearing a cape and stupid fucking hat. Hes sitting in a golden room while acting like he gives a shit about the cost of living.

I've never understood this mindset. Who cares if you take apple down or not. This isn't about vengeance. Its about privacy and supporting open source, freedom loving projects. A few people may not mean shit to apple but they could mean a lot to a company providing privacy centered products.

Never used strike. After making it near impossible for me to add a bank they refused to accept my initial verification and wanted a selfie pic of me holding my license while holding a sign with the current date written on it. When I asked why I had to do such a stupid thing they just said my email didn't match up to the name on my license. Which made no sense. Then when my wife tried to add an account they locked her bank bc they said her name wasn't on the bank account, which it was. When we told them that they demanded proof. At that point I gave up. Strike is loved by bitcoiners and yet they make the KYC process as terrible as possible. I never have gotten that. I basically can't have a strike account now.
