I have a theory that part of the problem is that all the teachers have degrees, and little or no experience outside academia.
So all pupils are encouraged to go to university, even if they are not suited, and many of them would be a lot better off leaving school earlier, and gaining experience in the outside world.

Given the number of care homes that are closing "due to financial difficulties"
I would conclude they are not a sustainable source of income.
However locally it seems the Private equity mobsters have done their usual dirty tricks and overloaded the care home with debt.
So no doubt they made a profit, while the council and other agencies have to try and re-house the very elderly and now poor residents.

Here in the UK, so no 100F to do the drying.
No access to put a line outside so I use an indoor rack and put a dehumidifier next to it.
Works in about the same time as a tumble drier.

Just assume that they will have to upgrade the cable, if you only have a 1 phase supply, they won't have run a 3 phase cable.
Also from a uk perspective, a 25A supply sounds really low, my one bed flat has a 63A single phase supply.

The big question is who is going to pay for accessibility?
The fare payers, or Taxation?
Building stations and rolling stock to meet these standards is more expensive than building them to only suit the able-bodied.
Making rolling stock accessible reduces the number of fare paying seats.

In my view, there is no "may" about it.

If the company wants a non compete clause, then they should have to pay compensation equivalent to lost wages, to the affected for the duration of the clause.

Whilst I'm sure the scheme will be a benefit to the local economy, there needs to be a funding scheme in place to ensure it doesn't result in the local community charge payers subsidising the business owners who gain.

In my view
Getting rid of the discount on right to buy is the first step.
In principle, I have no problem with tenants having the right to buy out their landlords at fair market price.
In the social sector, such income should be ring-fenced to build more social properties.
