I would hesitate to call Trump a "sceptic" of climate change. He might as well completely believe in it or know nothing about it, but that doesn't matter because this is all about "owning the libs", scoring points with MAGA voters who want to see "the others" hurt, distracting from his crimes and returning favours for his donors. The actual "matter" of climate change doesn't factor in it anywhere. Trump is not a "sceptic" of climate change, nor is RFK a vaccine "sceptic".

De dictatuur is nu wel gevestigd. De concentratie kampen, geheime diensten en paramilitaire troepen zijn flink in opbouw, het leger is overgenomen, de oligarchen zijn gelijkgeschakeld, de rechtspraak is tandeloos en bevolkingsgroepen worden behendig tegen elkaar uitgespeeld.

It's more of an annotation. Lately I am noticing a lot of people advocating a "management" mode. The thinking seems to be that we just say nice things to the figurehead, furnish him with nice fanfare and Royal banquet, and then everything will take care of itself because "people" will see through the bad economy, vote normal and that will be it. Just heads down, it will implode, nothing to do.
And a narrative like this somewhat jibes with that.
I think the management mode is wrong.

It is quite frightening to see how close the Conservatives came to winning, even with the clear and present lessons of danger across the border. Canada really seems to have bitten the bullet on this one.
But the dangers to Canadian democracy are far from over. Heavy concentration of votes into just two parties undermines plurality and diversity. Many voters will have held their noses to achieve a strategic outcome.

No, I didn't. And maybe it is inappropriate for me to comment on internal USA affairs.
For foreigners the American military has been a danger for far longer. Renditions, drone killings, war on terror and all that shit, whether under Republicans or Democrats. American senators have even openly talked about invading The Hague.
In The Netherlands we already have a MAGA government of our own, by the way. One that is very likely going to lick the Trump boots also.

Twee zaken zijn in dit debat in elk geval ook helder geworden.

Maar dat is geen enkel opzicht relevant, want in dezelfde hoorzitting ging ze vol op het demagogische orgel over open grenzen en de onmogelijke grote instroom en de arme kaaskop die geen woning kan vinden vanwege die verduivelde asielzoekers.

De Nierstichting schreef in 2020 over een onderzoek naar zout in bewerkte vleesproducten en vleesvervangers. De hoeveelheid zout kwam daarin zowat gelijk uit. En bij een lap vlees gaan ook altijd flink wat vlees (zout) kruiden.
Maar er zit veel variatie in. Zowel bij bewerkt vlees als bij vleesvervangers.
