Red light, speed, bus lane cameras are everywhere in NYC. With fines received steadily mounting, do we have the freedom/privacy we believe we have…or are we more similar to countries like China or others with authoritarian style governments?

“Historically, money was created from things that were hard to produce, easy to verify, and easy to transport, such as seashells, glass beads, silver, and gold. Any time something was used as money, there was a temptation to create more of it. If someone came along with superior technology for quickly creating lots of something, that
thing lost value.”

This article by @npub1mzn…6mak is interesting.
According to L0laL33tz The SEC (U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission) expands their definition of what an exchange is to be inclusive of:
"systems that bring together buyers and sellers of securities that offer the use of non-firm trading interest and provide another type of non-discretionary method (i.e., communication protocols). The proposed amendments would require these systems to register as national securities exchanges or as broker-dealers and comply with Regulation [Alternative Trading Systems] ATS."

Ben, I appreciate the work you do in relation to Bitcoin. However, this incident that you’ve described here on #nostr should have remained private in my opinion. There was no need to make a public apology.
It’s been my observation that those that make these type of public apologies have some sort of public figure identity that is either monetized, or are in some sort of public safety or trust position where their status in the “court of public opinion” needs to remain healthy. You may fit into one of the categories I’ve just described. Acknowledging what I’ve stated, one may also then conclude that your public apology will inevitably lead to one questioning the sincerity of your apology. Many have seen this script before, which is why I believe this incident should have remained private between you and that family you wronged.
We all make mistakes. You allowed your feelings/emotions override your self control. We all should acknowledge our shortcomings, be humble, and make those we break down whole again as best we can. No one else needed to know about this incident outside of your family, the family of that child you wronged and the eyewitnesses.
Lastly to answer your question, I’ve never done something similar to a child, but I have done things where I acted out of sheer emotion. I’ve learned from it and I consider myself better off because of the experience.
Keep moving forward, keep growing, don’t allow certain life experiences you wish you would have acted differently in prevent or slow your progression towards your goals.
#Peace and #Love

Besides this, the network produces all types of content that should be looked at more critically by responsible parents.
Parents may want to look into and introduce their children to The Tuttle Twins books and cartoon.
Adults and children can learn a lot of important things not taught in public or private schools.

“If you know anything about making large payments over Lightning, sometimes payment failures occur and need to be retried a few times. A challenge for MOD Bikes has been user error, as a couple of attempted purchases failed from customers using Muun (which is not a real LN wallet) and CashApp (which has amount limits).”
Could you talk a little about @npub1cas…dg5l and the limits on lightning limits please. What limits did you experience?
